serenity - frelling awesome!!!
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just saw it (a couple of hours ago, with my best friend - she's never seen an ep, and she LOVED it!!!) SPOILERS (duh, just warning ppl)
anywho, a few points:
1. Wash - Joss, how could you do this to me? i love Wash. *sniff sniff* that was so sad. especially when the closest Zoe and Wash were in the movie were cuddling... What the...? seriously, they could've at least kissed. (maybe i missed it if they did) i'm so mourning.
2. Zoe - so sad to see her at the end. i was in tears. but man, is she gorgeous? (i mean that in a totally heterosexual way.) she was great. sad, though...
3. Kaylee - so cute! made me realise why i love this show so much! loved the bit where she totally changes her mind about the killing and all the interaction between her and Simon
4. Mal - was great. especially all those killing scenes. he made 'em funny. like always... especially that last scene with the operative - the "stabbed me in the back" part. loved all of the inara/mal scenes: esp after they finish talking over the "phone" and he goes to talk to the crew and he's all "was there yelling?" too funny. 5. inara - LOVE!!!!! she was great. loved all her scenes, esp the mal ones. i love those 2 together. esp the last one. they're so cute. and them at inara's with the operative. "spend an hour with him, please."
6. Book - that last scene was soooo sad. feel the love and respect between him and mal. "coming from you, that means almost nothing." and his first scene - "you'll have to tell me about that one day." "no i don't." i heart book.
7. Simon - i love simon. he's so good. (are you getting the feeling that i love everyone? except the Reavers. hate the Reavers.) i love how protective of River he is. and i love how he gets shot and River's all "you protected me. now it's my turn." or whatever she says... (damn gotta see it again. damn, gotta study for the hsc.... stupid!) i love when they storm back in at the start, with the reavers after them, and Simon goes straight to River "River?" "I ate a bug." - too funny. I love the bit at the end with Kaylee and Simon - kissing (squee!!!!) and they fall to the ground, and you just see River's head at the top of the screen, peeking over. (slightly disturbing.... freaked out my friend a little)
8. Jayne - firstly, i LOVE jayne. secondly, OWIE! that harpoon thingy through his leg's gotta hurt. OW!!! thirdly, he's a funny one. to Kaylee after the btwixt my nethers comment, and mal says "didn't need to hear all that." he says (something along the lines of "i oucld hear more" - i lauhged. people stared. i didn't care. and the "Let's be bad guys." - best Jayne line ever.
9. River - i absolutely LOVE summer glau. she is awesome. "i swallowed a bug." ... random scary cartoons "miranda" then she procedes to kick everyone's asses ... "you best shoot me now" and she cocks the gun ... the bit with simon right after that - too cute ... kicking the Reaver's asses in slow-motion ... that very last scenee with Mal "i like hearing you say it ... soooooooo good!!!
the only bad bit (other than dead wash) was that my movies cut off the credits - those bastards! (and trying to explain to my friend why they were randomly speaking in Chinese.... heck, it was all good!)
What can i say? I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
