So yesterday I turned 30.
*shriek sigh scream*
Yeah, whatever. I feel like I took 25 a lot harder than 30, but mainly, I think that was because I was so unsure of myself. I was playing the role of an adult, but not really ready to take that all on. So five years later, I feel I am more confident, more sure, and more loved with every day.
Thanks to all of you who shared birthday loved on Facebook. I've been so lax in my LJ over the past few months, so I apologize for not responding personally. Hopefully I can get back to the groove of things.
Joe is on second shift again, so he didn't get home until after 8 last night, but there was still time for birthday kisses and presents. He got me the MST3K vs. Gamera box set ("Jewelry?" he asked a few weeks ago. "Gamera," said I.) and some random Muppet shenanigans (Dr. Teeth! Yay!). We are going out somewhere on Saturday, and I've been told to girly it up. Exciting.
In other good news, we are in our new place in the burbs. I'm kind of sad to not be in the city anymore, but the commute is hella easier and we have more space for a reasonable price. I feel like I've gained two more hours to my day, so that makes me happy.
