This tickled me...
My math text was sold on the fact that it narrated math problems that college kids, like myself, would care about, due to the fact that studies show people learn better when they're working with things they, well, care about. Two questions jumped out at me that I can honestly say I'd not seen in a schoolbook before; questions about blood-alcohol level being a function of the amount of beers I've downed. I questioned if I should be offended or not, but then let it go 'cause it just wouldn't be worth it. I just thought it was funny...
