I blame Family Guy and Jon Stewart - basically all of late-night television...

For some reason I've been angry with politicians, and all these stories of how poor a job the office is doing, and all these things they can't tell us. Not that I'm the most politically inclined guy - I hardly listen at all - but they go out of their ways to 'protect us' from the truth when, to me, it seems like they just hate press conferences that much that they'd rather not take even more questions about the alien creature they've been studying for years, or worse: a question about why they've kept it hidden so far. Every answer seems so strategically plotted, on the both sides (the person asking and the person answering) - we're living a script that the rest of the world doesn't want to read the lines to. I guess it makes sense 'cause people I've met in just Westfield have the biggest fucking mouths and could tell war strategy or whatnot, but what does my friend in the militairy know that has to be kept so secret? Appauling(sp?) details, I'm told.
This is just me hating being the butt of a joke. That's always been something I couldn't deal with, and probably why I'm not the happiest person as of late. They say you just have to suck it up and laugh at yourself every now and then. It gets old rather quickly. That said, I'm not sure I trust most anyone these days. You feel like you've gotten twisted enough that your back has cracked in half and things like that happen...

We're all selfish babies.
I just want what's mine.
