Today's September 18th, the fourth day since I moved into the school dorm.
Everything seems fine so far, at least not as bad as I imagined. I was kinda anxious about living and doing things on my own, including some chores that I was afriad of not being able to do because of the fact that I'd been living with my family for the past 20 years. At home every single thing was taken care of, so there really wasn't much need to worry. But living in the dorm, it's quite a different story.
Anyway, thankfully I didn't have any major trouble doing all these; I lived with three other roomates, all of whom are wonderful wonderful people. Our room is actually not very big; putting a LCD and a keyboard on the desk (there's still a mainframe!!) takes pretty much of the space so maybe it'll be a bit of problem after the school started, when I need a place for all my textbooks and for studying.
The closet is quite small as well; I have to buy some extra drawers to arrange all my stuff to its proper place. We've got to share the public bathroom with many other people from the same floor, which I think I still need some time to get used to. Doing laundry is a bit inconveninet too, since there's only two washing machines and a drying apparatus, which means most of clothes need to be hand-washed.
For the past few days I really was homesick, desperately wishing to go home. School will start in a few days, and hopefully by then I'll get used to all these new environment, teachers, classmates, and several other factors. *finger crossed*
