It has been a very Apple Christmas. Dom and I both got iPod Touches (!) from his parents, plus iTunes gift cards to help fill them up -- and my present from Dom was an Apple gift card to use toward a new laptop. I'm massively excited, and keep checking out Apple's website every couple of days to plot out what I want to get, heh. Going to have to drag him to the Apple store this afternoon or tomorrow to check out the MacBooks live and in person.
Also? Dom guessed his present on Christmas Eve. I was 12 hours from actually surprising him, but yet again, I was foiled. Curses.
Will's been waking up in the middle of the night quite a bit lately, and working himself up so much it's hard to just let him go without picking him up. He usually calms right down as soon as I pick him up, though, and it takes the edge off of the hysteria enough for him to whimper his way back to sleep. He's already well into teething, and doesn't seem to just want middle-of-the-night social time. I'd almost think he's having nightmares, since he starts dozing off on my shoulder as soon as I sit down to rock him, and isn't itching to play.
...He's also learned that he can play his mommy and both grandmas like a fiddle. I've caught him, on multiple occasions, looking up to see who's watching after he bumps his head, and bursting into tears if he sees someone he can get kisses and cuddles from. And on at least one occasion, I'm pretty sure he deliberately toppled over in his playpen just to get my attention.
I'm such a sucker, and I know it. Admitting it is the first step to recovery.
