Elections are next Tuesday, so here's the wrap up:
Republicans achievements:
Boggled war in Iraq
Loss of blue collar jobs
Gay bashing
Banning stem cell research
Lack of fiscal responsibility (a.k.a. George is still drunk)
Dana Seum-Stevenson is running...again...sweet Jesus
Libelous campaign ads
False claim to moral high ground
Oil company kick backs
Hunting accidents (a.k.a. Cheney picks up where George left off)
Moderate/true conservatives lose backbone and subsequently their party
Democrats achievements:
Not being Republicans
Not capitalizing on incompetence of colleagues
Loss of backbone and subsequently the election
Current standings:
Reasons to vote against Republicans = Many
Reasons to vote for Democrats = None
Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.
