RA e-mail
This is my favorite section from the e-mail sent by my RA about checking out for the break:
"7. Two RAs will be doing checks of every room after you all leave, so if
there is anything you don't want us to see...please put it away. If we
see any policy violations, we will write them up."
This is how I interpret this paragraph:
It's fine if you have things you're not supposed to have in your room. But put them in the closet or the dresser or something so that we don't see them. If we see them, we'll have to write you up, but we can't see them, we won't go nosing around looking for them. We don't really care if you have something illegal in your room. But we care if we can see it, because then we're obliged to write it up.
