Fancy planting a Christmas card?

Another great post by Mrs Green over at Myzerowaste

sold by ecohip in UK!

She says: "Botanical PaperWorks, a North American pioneer in eco-friendly stationery, has partnered with London-based ecohip to design and distribute 100% tree-free plantable paper.

Their stationery is made from 100% post-consumer waste infused with wildflower seeds. Which means, after the big day you can bury your cards in the garden! You can choose from a tree shaped card with spruce seeds implanted in it. Other cards and tags contain wildflower seeds."

I hope dyes and other chemicals used were environmentally friendly!! (maybe to research a bit more before buying!)

Also great idea: using plantable product packaging (& recycled packaging): instead of bad styrofoam!! Plant basil or flowering amaranth seeds or - a spruce tree!!
Pangea organics "are a US company, but this is a great idea for UK suppliers" (or elsewhere) too!! http://www.pangeaorganics.com/
I wish Amazon and all mail order, online and offline retailers went into this!!
