Apparently there's a big difference among the different types!
NiMH (& the bad NiCd - bad because it has Cadmium! haven't seen those around yet though, luckily) have to be completely discharged - which I knew, & LiOn DON'T like to be completely discharged! hmm!! (so make sure you know which ones you've got!)
Very COOL article about the different types of rechargeable batteries! - & how to make 'em last longer!
http://www.gadgetspage.com/misc/rechargeable-battery-technology.html - & make sure you read the labels on the batteries BEFORE you buy, not just the type, but also the mAh - "strength!" - like on your food!!
Apparently some companies just 'dress' their batteries into a bigger package, & sell them for bigger profits, but there is a small & 'weak' battery inside-?! (so people would get disillusioned with recheargeble ones & buy "stronger" disposables again?! OMG!)
- another COOL article here:

http://edenbee.com/goals/933946603 noble goal of "Use rechargeable batteries instead of throwaway alkaline batteries" (we already do, & have converted coz too!!) - but it's always great to learn something new about this too!!
