Today in class we watched a film over another play we had read, the name of the play is A Doll's House by Ibsen. Being written In the eighteen hundreds you have to change your mind set on how important money is during this time, but one character takes a little to much advantge of the oppurtunity for money. Nora the wife of Torvald the lawyer is the character to takes adavantage of her husband as he is a man who makes a lot of money. Nora is a very childish character and as a veiwer of the film you can really notice it very easy, just by her actions and she whines to have more and more money. Unfortunely money does'nt grow on trees as we all would wish for but Nora believes it does as she harasess her husband for more and more money. Another key point to show how childish Nora really is when comes to her children she doest quite take care of them as she has a nanny to do all her work by taking care of everything, pretty much playing the role of the mother for the children and Nora. Also towards the midde of the play shes lies to Nile Krogstad about helping her friend get a job even though she just told him she helped her get job a couple minutes back, she also blackmails Krogstad trying to have him fired even though Krogstad was a great help with money to help save the life of her husband that shows how selfish Nora really is. This play was really interesting and shows how characters can really act in a play.
