Just finshed typing out my second paper, over the poems we have read in the past two weeks. I choosed the peom of Agha Shahid Ali and his poem The Wolf's Postscript to "Little Red Riding Hood", the reason for this being my choice, was beacuse the creativity of the idea of giving the other side story, the Wolf's side. This poem did a really great job of defending the wolf and explaing how he was at fault and trully suffered for it. For theisis I agreed along with the the Author of the peom and really believed the true victim behind the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" was the wolf. The so called big bad wolf was trying to be nice to this little girl and explains if he could of eaten her would he wait to pick flowers and let her go to grandma's house, when he had the perfect chance years ago? It's really the little girls fault for speaking to strangers she should know better. Also whenever the wolf was sleeping the huntsman cut him opened and filled him with garabage and stones. So as he tried to run the weight brought him down, and he could hear the "noise of stones cutting through his belly and the garbage spilling out". What ever happened to cruel and unusall pushinment being illeagel? Who really did all the suffering in this story the little dumb girl or the poor wolf being sliced and stuffed by a hunter, I know what my answer is.
