MORE POEMS :)

Still going over poems for class did't have to much of a hard time understanding these poems this week than the other ones we had read last week. Except for "A Supermarket in California" by Ginsberg I had good idea of what the other poems were talking about. My favorite poem this week is "The Wolf's Postscript to 'Little Red Riding Hood," I thought this was really clever going to through the eyes of the wolf and seeing his half the story and how he became the victim in this children tale. This poem reminded me of this story I read as a child called the story of "The true story of the 3 little pigs " by Jon Scieszka where the wolf gives his side of the story and he is also portrayed as the victim. Which has me wondering if these two wolfs are the same one?

In class we talked about how the wolf was a predator and how he was also a sexual predator and how this also connects with the feminism from the poem before, and I also thought what if the wolf was another female? Usually I believe female wolves tend to more dominant of the wolf pack so theirs a chance that it this would from tale could be female. We also went over the "Red Riding Hood" by Sexton I enjoyed reading the second half of the poem because I mostly understood it. I had no idea that the beginning was about feminism till we talked about it in class, but as I took another look at it, it came out more with the stabbing in the back and the stealing money that the women did all really interesting.
