And the week...

After such an excellent weekend, this week has really brought me back to earth with a bump. Being the only Engineer around who's got a good understanding of our core product is a bit of a weight...

And next week, it’s Hell-Week Mk 3. For those who’ve been reading this waffle for a while, you might remember the last sets of these week-long meetings: discussing, resolving, and waffling around the problems, for management to feel involved... This one promises to be no better, but as we’re in the wrap-up phase of the project now, we need to fully document everything before it starts. *oh crap*.

So, it’s been hard-work time, and I’ve also had lots to do in the evenings. So far, the earliest I’ve been in work is 05:10, and the latest I’ve left is 22:30. Add an hour to each for the commute, and that’s long days. In addition, I’ve got a new exhaust on the car, adjusted the bike chain, fixed the bike seat, re-attached an indicator, planted out the front garden with heathers & conifers, finally fitted that automatic watering system (works a treat - really pleased), fixed the clutch on the Citroen, written about 4 letters to folk I needed to get back in contact with, arranged transport for a wedding (well, handfasting) in Tintagel on Saturday, and sorted accommodation for a shoot on Sunday in Bisley. It’s going to be a long, long weekend, too.

The solstice was good though - was up too late to make dawn where I wanted to (Chew Valley - it has far more significance & familiarity to me than anywhere lese round here), so just poped to a park on the NE facing slopes near my house, and watched the sunrise. With the aid of my camera & tripod. 'Twas nice. I'll do the Lake sunrise sometime soon, while the sun is still in the same quadrant, and maybe go for a dip at sunrise. And maybe Stanton Drew later next week, as I'd like to see any alignment there is but don't feel too social these days...

Right, back to the grind *sigh*

paganism, work
