strange revelation....

So, I was on Merry's website reading about their upcoming live schedule and I saw something titled "Abstinence's live" And I laughed to myself, thinking that it was absurd and then it hit me. When I see VK artists, I see them as beautiful, asexual beings. The idea of any of the members having sex never occurred to me. This doesn't happen with ( Read more... )

Hey, sorry for the randomness of this comment, but I found you through the Shizuoka area school listings (here on LJ.) That may seem weird, sorry. Buuut I just found out I'll be studying abroad there, and so I was wondering what you thought of the general area. Is it a nice town/city/whatever? I've heard of Shizuoka many times, like when I see band tour dates and shit, but I'm really only familiar with Kobe, Kyoto and Tokyo. :/

If you can find the time, things like general pros and cons about the area would be awesome. Like whatever sucked or whatever rocked, etc. Whether or not it's a dull place.. Anywhere cool to hang out?

Thank you in advance! :D Sorry if it's a bit of a nuisance.

Do you know what school you'll be going to? It really all depends on the area, I was in Shizuoka City and I enjoyed myself. Though there isn't really too much to do besides shopping, karaoke, and purikura. (Shizuoka Prefecture does have Mt. Fuji, which I encourage you to visit at least once). My friend was placed in Hamamatsu, which is a larger city and thus has more to do.

I spent a lot of time window shopping and just walking around the city and my neighborhood.

Well, that's good to hear because I really do love shopping. Anddd I'll be in Shizuoka-shi, yeah. The school is 静岡北高等学校 which is a private school - though I don't understand the concept of a study abroad student getting into a private school and not having to pay.

Tokyo is only 1hr away on the JR Tokaido line, did you not go?

Nah I never went to Tokyo. I almost got to go when I was visiting friends in Yokohama but not so lucky. I did get to go to Osaka and Kyoto, though, which were fun. I preferred Kyoto because of the history, and the other girls preferred Osaka because of the shopping (school trip).

Wow, your uniform is way cuter than mine was! And my friend in Hamamatsu was at a private school. I think the reason you don't have to pay is because exchange students don't have a choice about where they go. Maybe.

Aww well Yokohama is close enough. I have like 3 friend that live there as well. I haven't been to Osaka, but Kobe is only like half an hour away from it? I saw Osaka out of the train window, though, haha. Looked pretty metropolitan. I also really liked Kyoto and for the same reason as you, and definitely preferred it over the Kobe/Osaka area. ..Despite the fact I really am a shopping whore ( ... )

My uniform was navy blue, lightly pleated skirt, with a pale blue short sleeve buttonup in the summer, long sleeved white one in winter, with either a cream or navy sweatervest, and a navy blazer. No ribbon, no tie, no nothing. (which was really the one thing that I wanted in a uniform--isn't that sad?) To make matters worse, I'm really skinny but I have long arms, so my uniform was fitted to my arms. The sleeves were still too short and the body was horribly bulky. Made me feel a bit like a crossdresser ( ... )

Alright, it's been a few weeks now and I haven't come up with any more questions, but I'm just going to go ahead and add you just in case I do. I don't want to end up forgetting your username or something, haha, I hope that's okay. Thank you for all the questions you've asked so far, though. :D
