let me hear you depoliticize my rhyme.

i just had an appointment with the urologist, dr. stoller @ the UCSF urology clinic. he's the director for the entire clinic and he's never seen this before (renal infarct w/ abdominal and back pain, blood and protein in the urine). my creatinine levels are on the high side of normal but nothing to worry about, so the left kidney and the half of the right one that has bloodflow are working fine. he's trying to focus on what's causing the infarct. he ordered another CT scan and ultrasound, is having me see a cardiologist for a consultation and then i'm back on the 21st for a biopsy (to find out if it's just dead tissue or if there's something there). depending on what's causing it, i may not need to have the kidney taken out.. it may just die on its own. he is keeping me on the dope (methadone and dilaudid). i am going next week to get a medicinal marijuana card because, seriously, opiates are my DOC and i don't want to turn into a hardcore junkie like dizzyspells, nodding off in front of the computer (not that i own a computer, but you get my drift) or in my plate of calamari. i think weed would be a lot healthier for pain relief in the long run, especially since it appears that i'm going to be dealing with this for some time.

i got new glasses the other day.. DKNY. i paid $300 for them and they are hot.

my grandma carpeneti turns 80 today. i have therapy at 1, psychiatrist at 2 and then i'm taking caltrain down to the south bay for her birthday party. we're going to vahl's in alviso. despite its unsavory location (alviso is literally the biggest shithole in the bay area), it has delicious italian food and FROG LEGS are on the menu. we go here for her birthday every year and i always get the frog legs as the secondi and the gnocchi al pesto as the first dish. yummy. happy birthday, grandma !
