HELP

i am preparing shish kebab for the entire house (17 people besides me) tomorrow. i've never made this before, but i figured that it was time to start "branching out" in my cooking, which is pretty much exclusively pasta and polenta-related dishes. however, i have no idea how to make it !

- i'm using chicken, eggplant, onions, bell peppers and artichoke hearts. anything else i should put on ? tomatoes, perhaps ?
- i'm planning on marinating the chicken and the eggplant in a marinade of tomato paste, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and turmeric. does this sound totally disgusting ? should i add or remove something from it ? should i bother marinating the other vegetables in the sauce as well, or would that ruin the integrity of the onion/pepper/artichoke ?
- tzatziki sauce is just pureed cucumber, dill and plain yogurt, correct ? do i need tahini ?

i'd appreciate any feedback/suggestions.
