now that i don't live there anymore, i'm entitled to make such sweeping judgements/assumptions:
things white people who live in oakland do for fun
0. go to burning man
1. reminisce about last year's burning man
2. talk about what they're going to wear at next year's burning man
3. attend erase errata shows
4. hang out at the white horse, ruby room or radio bar
5. meet each other at merritt's, their favorite restaraunt
6. engage in pottery-related activities
7. go to art-punk fusion shows (complete with interpretive dance) at the cloud factory
8. drive drunk
9. walk very quickly with their heads down walking to and from BART
10. talk about moving to those really cool lofts above the cookie factory but end up living in some loft off of 29th avenue instead
11. somehow think that the above activities make living in oakland superior to living in san francisco, san jose or on the peninsula
