Wunderlist: this just might stick

Reading some random startup article on Zite and they mentioned 6Wunderkind and having to choose between developing two different products and blahblahblah.

I'm just kind of skimming it, not really letting it soak in, but for some reason I decide to look up the kept product,

They have apps for Android, iOS, Mac, and... Windows. Plus it works in your browser. This is in perfect keeping with my ethic and my plan for developing as well.

I install the app on my Nexo and play with it for a bit. It's a basic task list, but it syncs across all platforms rather quickly, and the tasks support deadlines (or none) and subtasks, with notes. And then there's groups.

Well wait, can't you just do this with Google? Not sure exactly, but there is a lot of baggage for me there until I transition to using Google services myself. Plus it may not actually have all these features.

Design? It has some hidden secrets, so it's a little but oniony. It has one of those little grab widgets up in the upper left corner to hide a sliding panel, like on Facebook. But unlike Facebook, it's Enjo-y! You can swipe that and it works, not just tap it. So it speaks a modal language I understand coming from webOS. Every time I use the mobile Facebook on my Nexo and swipe that thing and it just sits there, I get so annoyed.

Anyway, I entered a task... "take out trash" into it and set a deadline. At the appointed time, it popped a lil window on my latop and played a small sound. Second later, same thing on the tablet, and there's a notify in the notify drawer. Have I completed the task yet? No. So there they sit for the moment while I'm half-naked on the couch doing laundry and too lazy to put on some dirty pants to do the work.

But I am the type that needs a bit of nagging, so having these things sitting there demanding some small measure of attention makes me more likely to do the actual task. So I like this idea.

Now if I just had some people to collaborate with and generate tasks. Soon, maybe?
