The end of the UU exams and us all going out and getting drunk. Ponder and Vic going away on holiday. Not much.

[Private, to Andre]

I am talking to you. Just. And where is 'here'? Because it would be good to see you again, if nothing else then to hit you.

And then kiss you. Because I do still love you, even if I am annoyed.

Drunk is good. Drunk is always good. Wish I coulda been there.

[private to Skazz]

I'm back at the opera house. It looks like Mr Vimes has no more use for my services for the moment, so I've been given back my old room, my old seat at the organ, my old hectic schedule. But I have time to see you. Hell, even if I didn't, I would.

I deserve anything you want to throw at me. I should've written, or got a message to you, or something.

Can I come and see you? Because I'd put up with violence. I just need to see you.

Yeah, it was pretty fun. Table dancing and all that. Though it was only really Ade.

[Private, to Andre]

That's good, I guess. You like organs.

I won't be that violent. Only a little.

Actually, Zacharias is lying. There was a total eclipse of the sun, during which the Opera House made like the Alchemists' Guild, in a way, except that it managed to implode and explode at the same time. The shrapnel hit the Dysk. There were ten deaths and thirteen injuries, including myself, and as a matter of fact I am having to type this with my toes.

Wow.

So... I'm not in the Opera House? This is, in fact, a cunning replacement?

But for what purpose?

Suddenly I'm worried.

Isn't it your job to work that out, copper?

...eh. I'm done teasing. Good to hear from you again, Andre.

It is as Tomjon as already said, however he neglected to mention that the End of the Word was late. In fact, it still hasn't arrived.

I reckon it's the roads over Pseudopolis way. The four horsemen have been mugged, their horses and various weapons of destruction nicked, and they're currently sitting in a bar and drinking scumble. Poor bastards. They'll regret that tomorrow...

Ah, that explains it then. Yes, the poor bastards. They will have such a hangover...
