Unfortunately that image is too small to make anything out, and blowing it up just gives me a blur.

Any chance I can get a larger version?

Also, according to:
http://www.dreamwidth.org/support/faqbrowse?faqid=123

The first time you log into Dreamwidth using your identity from another site, you'll need to set and confirm your email address for use on the Dreamwidth site in order to be able to comment everywhere that allows OpenID comments and in order to receive emailed notifications of replies to your comments.

(There are links and stuff).

Can you check that you've done that?

Sorry; here's one with a link to the full size image.

Thanks for the support link. I had not set an email address. (Grr, I continue to dislike DW. The error page could have mentioned something about that, rather than just saying "comment not posted" and "you can't post anonymously" when I'm clearly logged in. It seems a very unintuitive requirement. I've been using that OpenID login for years to post comments on other people's DWs successfully.)

Yeah, that would help.

I'll raise a request when I have a moment to get the error message changed.

(I have anonymous comments disabled because of the spam I used to get. Will try enabling them)

I'm not asking you to allow anon comments, especially if you're going to get spam and/or trolls. But DW seems to allow journal owners to set multiple levels of strictness. There are some that allow comments with OpenID (the second of the three radio buttons in my screenshot) but not anon comments (the third) - but don't require an email address.
