That sounds very sensible and fairly awesome. For example, I grew up knowing nothing about any kind of business or investment or money management. Nor did anyone. Even outside of school, no-one we knew even ran a shop or market stall or man-and-van. I have done OK, but what I did learn, I learned late, and my attitude is still a bit off, I'm never comfortable with that stuff.  And there's  evidence of learning benefits for cross disciplinary study.

The Finnish system even at present sounds good, but I will say that I know a Finn who found German university incredibly hard. The very academic focus, the level of the work, having to follow rules, the level of deference to authority that was expected - it was super tough. The German grads I know that have done postgraduate studies elsewhere ( in the USA ,for example) have found the academic level shocking easy - so maybe Germany is just hardcore. Not all to the good. Be interesting to compare performance of (say) small to medium businesses from various countries vs their academic systems ( ... )

Awesome! Just so much awesome. I wish I had hope that Trump will somehow rise to the challenge - but I've worked with too many insecure traders (investment banking) who deep down know that it's incredibly complex and they don't know what they are doing, to really have much. I'm predicting that he'll react like them. Blustering, bluffing, lying, ass-covering, face-saving, unstable, unpredictably explosive, aggressively defensive that they are always right.
