One pint lighter
After years of not, I have now given some blood. Went with Simon, Hal, and Storm, who took this photo of me and Hal:
The whole process was about as painful as having a blood sample taken, the people were lovely, Storm and Hal happily kept me company during the process, and I resisted the urge to ask for a selfie with my bag of blood*.
Glad I did it. Will probably now find myself doing it on a regular basis. I feel a little light-headed, and have a tiny headache, both of which will probably clear up after I fry myself some dinner.
*Simon, meanwhile was resisting the urge to quote Hancock's Half Hour at the staff, much to their relief I suspect.
