Wow, that telepathy thing could potentially revolutionise interrogations, no? Doesn't matter how good a liar somebody is, the police/security services just hook them up to the machine, ask the questions, and read the pre-formed thoughts?

Depends on whether it only picks up words that you're actually about to say, or if it also picks up words that you're just thinking of possibly saying.

If it's the latter, then yeah.
