I find it very, very unlikely that the millions and millions of women who claim to orgasm from vaginal stimulation and/or G spot stimulation are lying. I find it much more likely that doctors just haven't figured out what causes vaginal and g sport orgasms yet.

They aren't saying that you can't orgasm from vaginal stimulation - they're saying that stimulating the vagina causes orgasms because it stimulates the clitoris, which wraps around a lot of the vagina.

Same, presumably, with anal stimulation - you're rubbing against the clitoris, albeit through other tissues.

I think what the article is doing is conflating the actual research (orgasms come from the clitoris - which actually has all these huge internal structures, so this is saying nothing about whether it can be stimulated by internal stimulation or not - there just isn't a magic vaginal wall area which somehow has a completely separate mechanism of action than 'stimulate the clitoris') with their own perception of the clitoris as an external thing.

But women I've talked to say the orgasms feel different. Which means that while they still may be caused by the clitoris they are different types of orgasms, so why not give them different names?

On the other hand, with males, no-one distinguishes and calls them (e.g.) "penis orgasms" and "prostate orgasms"...

The diagram is awesome, by the way!

Actually, they do in some places, but the kind of places that do aren't generally found in work-safe links...

They call them "milking" and make a huge distinction between then and other orgasms (And they do feel different.)
