The genital mutiliation thing has been disproved. It was based on information planted by anti-ISIS people.

While ISIS is a bunch of scumbags, they aren't guilty of this crime.

Not at all - and I'd much rather have people correct my links when they were wrong than not!

Pointed out on FB that we're exposing them to Cosmic Rays, and thus that we should expect a Lizard Fantastic Four at any moment...

My question is....why? Why would they want to know that?

Tunnock's Tea Cakes are like those lovely marshmallowey things with jam inside, except there's no jam.

Which is the perfect symbol for the Commonwealth Games. Like the Olympics, but without the jam.

Or maybe Glasgow - like Edinburgh, but without the jam...

"Glasgow - like Edinburgh, but without the jam..."

You might say that, but I couldn't possibly comment.

I could have gone for "Lowland Scotland - like proper Scotland, but without the jam"...

Brilliant comment below that Warhammer 40K article: ".....it seems Wheels broke out the Kobayashi Maru and Shooter Kirked it."

I think Tredinnick might have been able to reduce the ridicule by pointing out that astrology is one of many psychological tools that can be used to contemplate one's path in life, or various aspects of it and provide focus or calmness when in dire straits or ill, like the I Ching, Tarot, Bible study, meditation, Chicken Soup For The Soul, prayer, crystal aura charts, and body suspension.

There ARE health benefits to the above, just as there are other health benefits with placebos, crossword puzzle solving, 'herbal remedies', and acupuncture, although there are much more actual benefits from medication and common sense in nutrition and physical activity.

Don't think he'd be sensible enough to try that argument, though.
