1) Actually those of us who read the books weren't sure either who would win the fight as it doesn't happen in the books.

2) There are four Starks! Nobody remembers Rickon Stark.

3) Really? This is George R.R. Martin. Nobody will ever be happy.

1) And yet, the knowledge of which characters continue (plotwise) past that point and which don't certainly helped weight the odds.

2) You misspelled "cares about" as "remembers". I mean, seriously, in the book he's three years old. Four, ish, by the end of the latest book. The actor on the TV show is 13 (because really they had zero desire to work with an ACTUAL TODDLER and try to get quasi-good acting from him) but the character, yeah, no.

That fight was interesting for me too because it's not in the book and I couldn't figure out how they were going to play it. And even as a book reader I couldn't be sure who would win.
