That post on French healthcare is fascinating.

I wonder where the NHS fits in between the French and the US system?

But basically, the US system really does sound broken - as bad as the NHS but much more expensive, I'd say!

I didn't realise the NHS was something that something could be as bad as.

I thought that it was pretty good:

"As bad as" is relative! I love the NHS - but it does have its problems, from which, according to that post, the French system doesn't suffer.

The NHS can seem as uncaring as the description of the U.S. system. The French system sounds very personal, in ways I find it hard to imagine the NHS emulating.

This may of course be wrong!

Your description of the treatment Julie received this week in Glasgow sounded rather impressive.

That Telegraph article is interesting, though the sample seems quite small.

I do feel inordinately lucky to have the NHS, and I think more to in Scotland than London.

The clue is in the way it's the choice of US conservatives. They've got a world of universal health care systems, all different, to pick on, and they chose the NHS because it was the most tempting target. And I'm like, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED, because it still kicks their ass.
