Is it possible Sky are attempting to make their filters so absurd that they know all users will automatically opt-out?

And yep, Planescape Torment, arguably the greatest video game of all time.

Cock-up seems more likely than recovery.

But it does illustrate the effects that a cock-up can have!

I wonder w ere the cock-up originated, with Sky themselves (I've heard many stories over the years of their general level of technical incompetence) or the third party Chinese company the Government contracted to run this whole business?

But yes, I agree, a cock-up does seem more likely. :)

I didn't think it was run by any one company - I was under the impression that each company ran its own filtering separately (albeit with some filtering instructions coming via the IWF).

I've probably put more hours into Civilisation over the years. But PS:T is the one game I've completed now... at least 7 or 8 times because I love it so much.

Is it based on the old Planescape setting for 2nd edition AD&D? That was a fantastic setting, I did enjoy playing it many moons ago... That almost actually tempts me to buy a computer game even though I never usually play them!

Yep, Planescape 2nd Edition. That was my favourite of the AD&D settings by a country mile too.

www.gog.com have a beautifully remastered version which should run fine on all modern PCs. At better screen resolutions than the original too.

Think of it more as an interactive novel than a computer game.

Thanks! Shall check that out at the weekend, hopefully it will run on my laptop too because we don't actually have a PC in the house these days...

And remember, INT/WIS/CHA are the most important stats. :)
