After the current stuff Capaldi regenerates into Samuel L Jackson. . .

Sorry, I'm not sure what you meant. That he's already ready for it? Sure, but what happens after Peter Capaldi is more up for speculation.

I think he's already too serious to be interested in a role like that at the age he'll be. The trend now is that when you're a younger man you play the Doctor to make your career. When you're older you do it for a steady gig and you're famous enough that the Doctor won't paint you forever, you can get away with it, but if I were Ejiofor I'd be looking at Eccleston and saying fuck no.
