You know, I looked at the tram stop at Edniburgh Gyle, and I thought... Well no, I didn't.

Why unlikely? New bust stops, subway stops, tram stops are pretty much a tradition in the outdoor sex fetish scene.

They certainly fuck in new tram stops here - and whenever a new car park is built you tend to see used condoms in the car park before you see actual cars.

James Boswell had sex in one of the little cupolas built to give people a place to sit out of the wind on the old Westminster Bridge (the one Wordsworth wrote about), which is why they don't build those things on bridges any more.

The original plan for Tower Bridge was to let people walk up to the overhead section when the bridge was up, but most people preferred to wait a few minutes until the bascules came down again. Other people started using the walkway to have sex undisturbed (original Mile High Club?), so they closed it off.
