I was hoping that would be about The Rock and his involvement in shower routines. :)

Just out of curiousity, are there any readers who don't know what the shower rock would (probably) be used for? It seems pretty clear to me but I wonder if that's the common assumption.

I assumed it was satire.

If I had to guess, I'd go for rubbing off dead skin? Although why a flannel wouldn't work for that, I have no idea.

It's the Onion, I'm pretty sure it is satire.

Yes, but I assumed that they picked a rock because "Why would anyone use a rock?"

I'm aware of Pumice Stones, so I thought that was maybe an option.

Is 'a flannel' something other than a piece of cloth? I don't understand how a cloth would be as effective!

You can get fairly rough cloths. And my body doesn't seem to have any bits that require anything rougher to deal with it.

I seem, in fact, to be entirely lacking in parts of me that need to be filed off, sanded down, chiselled out, etc.

(Apart from nails. I agree that they require tools to deal with.)

I would usually use a stone on feet, and I've never found a cloth that gets as much dead skin off feet as a stone does.
