Yeah, having asked the question I then looked it up (as I'm obliged to do ;) but I have never, ever heard of this before. I have seen the fellow on a pub sign, but had no idea he was a Thing.

I'd totally fail the citizenship test, I'm sure.

I think most uk natives would:) my other half, who is actually British is amused by how much more British history I know. Combination of me being interested in history and, he maintains, Irish people being more interested in British history than .brits, because so much of it happened to us.
