Virgin seem to be turning on IPv6

I've been having glitchiness all day when connecting to various sites, particularly Google. So I finally cracked open a terminal window and pinged Google to get:
Pinging google.com [2a00:1450:4009:807::1002] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 2a00:1450:4009:807::1002: time=54ms
Reply from 2a00:1450:4009:807::1002: time=49ms
Reply from 2a00:1450:4009:807::1002: time=100ms

So I popped to http://test-ipv6.com/ which told me:Your IPv6 address on the public Internet appears to be 2002:5eae:ce02:0:a482:bf11:dd44:e52b
Your IPv6 service appears to be: 6to4

Which was a pretty big surprise.

Now, I'm using the Virgin "SuperHub" purely as a pass-through, with my WRT610N doing the actual routing. And I know that the router theoretically supportss IPv6, but there's no configuration options for it, or any status displayed.

So goodness knows what's actually going on in the background there. My networking experience is about 10 years out of date, and I have no idea how to tell any more details. If anyone wants to know more and can tell me how to ascertain more information, feel free to leave a comment using very simple language :->
