Yes. I'm boggled by the whole thing. Phelps has a history of anti-racism:

which makes no sense to me, but then I don't live in the twisted structures inside in his head.

Hypothesis: Phelps is (or became) a naturally pugnacious, abusive person who figured out there was more money in real life trolling than in a normal law career.

It's an interesting theory - how would we formulate a test to differentiate between that, mental isssues, and genuine belief?

One suspects that Scotland's use of renewable power is heavily dependent on being able to import fossil-fuel-generated electricity from England when the weather is dry and calm. Quite apart from Scotland's geographical advantages, I doubt that this would scale to the whole UK.

Oh, absolutely. You need more reliable sources to balance things out.

However, there was a recent study that showed that aiming for over-production allowed for renewable energy to be used 99% of the time (presumably with gas to cover the gaps):
