Hmmm. Question is, are they making "The Hobbit" and "A film to fit between The Hobbit and The Fellowship" or are they making The Hobbit in two parts? If it's the former then it's fine, but if it's the latter then the whole bringing back Orlando Bloom as Legolas thing (amongst others) is only going to go badly I fear.

Huh? Either the first film ends after the Battle of Five Armies and Bilbo leaving the mountain, or it's late in the second film. Can't be both.

The Hobbit is being extended to take up two parts by putting stuff into it _and_ extending the story to lead up to LOTR. So the end of the first movie won't be the end of The Hobbit, but neither will the end of the second movie.
