First of all, just a quick thank-you to those of you who gave me help and advice and instructions for the lasagne! Hopefully it will all go well, and reading over the instructions brought it all back to me, so I guess I'll be ok! Thanks especially to CT for the advice regarding the wine! I'd be stuck trying to find one that works well, so thanks man! =D
Anyway. I suppose that I had best let you all know that Clare and I are now officially together, after a few weeks of being somewhere inbetween friends and in a relationship. We both decided, after both opening up about what we've been through previously, to give it a go. I don't feel at all that it is too soon after the break-up with Svenja. Following the arguments and insults, I found it much easier to move on and move forwards with my life. After all, if I hang around, I'll be missing out on opportunities. I can't do that. Not anymore, anyway! Some of you may say I'm rushing or this is too soon, but take my word, I'm not, and it's not *l* Just trust me. I'm a Doctor.
I've asked Fergus to write me a recommendation to the Store Manager regarding a transfer onto the day staff. I've now really lost patience with night work: I'm barely sleeping, and my eating pattern is messed up. Because of those two I'm a lot more susceptable to illness, which then gets me annoyed. I'm fed up of not having a decent social life any more, and being stuck in work while the lads are out drinking and having a laugh. Day work will mean a loss of wages, but I'll take the hit. Also, because I want to progress in the company, working on days is more likely to get me noticed, as I'll be working under the store manager directly so he can see for himself how much work I am doing etc. Hopefully that will get sorted, one way or another, shortly.
Ah. I turn 21 soon. Jesus. Scary thought, that. Sadly I'll not be able to go home for my birthday, but I've got plenty of friends here to ensure I have a good weekend anyway! I've a week off work on my birthday week, which falls on a Friday this year (21st birthday on a Friday night. Now that's what I'm talking about!!), so plan on getting more than a little drunk over that weekend! I think I'd be entitled to! Really looking forward to that, and having the week of work. I'm ready for a holiday, and not one brought about by personal problems etc. It'll feel so good to be able to just mellow out properly.
