As soon as you decide to not date or whatever, that's when it comes. Of course, that doesn't mean it's fate... that's just when things seem to happen. I completely understand about the not being as depressed as you were, but not being as happy as you were either. Ultimately, it probably is a trade off that is worth it, because doing the rollar coaster thing is draining, and eventually you just run out of steam.

Spyware sucks... I use adaware and zone alarm and it helps keep things off a bit anyway, I probably still need something better, but this does the job for now.

Your post seems happier, and the last couple of times I have seen you, you have seemed happier, it's nice to see :)

thanks. on the whole i am doing better, and i am definitely not back into that whole depressing rut i had gotten into during the period when i was single before i was dating kat. so that's good too.

Glad to see you're doing much better. Takes awhile but as usual - time helps. And more time will help indeed. Good luck with this girl, just be careful. I'm really glad I waited to get involved or even think about getting involved with someone until after I got over the Matt thing. Took awhile, but I'm glad I know now I can walk into a relationship and not carry that emotional baggage with me.

Overall, you seem a much happier person and that's all any of us wanted for you.

Also, good luck with the writing and such. Don't beat yourself up over not having as much time as you would like. You have to survive first - concern yourself with that - then write. And ya know - call peeps or I'll... or someone will have to call and check up on you. =)

i have a friend who wrote for pitchfork and got fired because she reviews weren't mean enough.

that's a pretty good reason why i don't think writing for pitchfork is a good idea for anyone who is not a total asshole, which you aren't, thankfully.

oh my fucking god. thanks for that info. that's enough to make me SURE i don't want to write for them, even though they do pay money (which can be hella tempting sometimes).

and yeah, i was telling the kid who i post on lptj with how in my blog i don't generally even like to write negative things, because with the energy i've got i'd rather expend it on things i get excited about. i guess some people can get excited about hating a record, but i can't, i just want to turn it off and forget it exists.
