Unlike the southern softy Like scaryjeff I have battled my way into work and am one of only five people in my office. I hope I can get home!

See below the cut for a couple of snowy railway scenes.

Oi! I'll have you know I battled it into work actually! I'm sitting here right now, and there's barely anyone here. I'm soo going home if no one else turns up.

There eight of us here, but apparently the office will be closing at 3 so I should be heading home early.

Yeah, the canteen here is only serving bacon sandwiches, and closes at 12 "due to staff shortage".

Snow!!!!

Thankfully (or possibly unfortunately) I live within walking distance of work so I can get here and back with minimal effort. My colleague's comment "It never snows here" has now been thoroughly disproved.

We had a dusting yesterday evening and it was mostly clear this morning following the gritting (it looks as though they up-ended a truckful of grit on our car park as it's about 2 inches deep) but now it's coming down heavily. I thought I was being clever and sensible by swapping my heels for hiking boots, but now I'm thinking I should have opted for the wellies...
