finally booked my tickets to austin yesterday. good thing cause they weren't gonna get any cheaper and when i went to a travel agent yesterday she said they were in fact going to jack up the prices today. i'm arriving march 11th and flying back out march 29th. so a good 2.5 weeks for a texas-size serving of austin to last me another year or two. and it couldn't be more perfect timing. down to my last two cans of black and refried beans (which i bought at the american commissary when my mom was in germany). haha already have a growing checklist of all my old favorites to go to (trudy's of course being right on top), things to buy and take care of, shit i want to bring back to berlin. and on top of that, there's sxsw (still need to buy my ridiculously expensive pass for that...thank god for the exchange rate and earning money in euros), the best part of which is that gemma will be there (we're so gonna burn this city, and kaiser chiefs especially better watch out). plus i still wanna take a road trip up to denver to visit rocky. talk about march madness.
