Summary: Johnny knew that every man has his desires, pleasures and needs. To prevent his idols to have girlfriends and causing troubles for him by doing so, he makes a contract with a night club to offer their girls to his idols. What Johnny doesn't know is that there is a different girl who is in that club by mistake and that one of his idols finds an interest in her.

Chapter 26 ~ JE rule
The room was bright as the morning sun shined through the windows, lightening up the previous hours of the night. It was quiet even though three people were in, what they heard were only silent breathings of their own chest and Sho’s silent murmurs. He was holding on the weak arm, unable to hold itself up, with both palms, his mouth pressed on the limp fingers. His eyes were closed, waiting for the girl on the bed beside him to wake up so that he could embrace her and with this calm his soul down.
The other person in the room, looked at the pair, especially his sister. He thought he would lose his mind when he was informed about her condition that she suffered during the kidnapping. He said he would always be there for her but felt helpless when he saw her lying in Sho’s embrace, barely conscious from the pain in her abdomen. Now staring at her pale face, he still felt the same but tried to stay sane, if not for himself but for Sho who felt the same as he.
A gentle knock on the door woke them up from the trance, both looking at still sleeping Ryka to make sure the knock didn’t wake her up and then they turned their look to the door that just slid to the side, revealing Sho’s parents. They greeted with a slight bow, both looking at Sho and then at Ryka’s peaceful face.
“Is… she okay?” Yuko silently asked, afraid of the answer.
Sho sighed tiredly. “It’s all right now.” He brushed Ryka’s face a little and then her hair, a large lump stuck in his throat as he tried to hold back his tears. He was tired, he cried enough for the day and he was afraid that not even one can be spilled again.
“Sho…” Shun called him, having a large lump in his throat too. “I’m really sorry about what happened… It’s all my fault, I admit it.”
“Father, I know that… I know who you are. You are strict and want to have it your way but I know that behind all that you are doing it because you care for us. Maybe I got a part of that from you and that is why we are always arguing… I always thought I hated you for who you are… a father who would never listen to me… but then I realized how much I care for both of you. No matter what, we are family. We may argue, have different opinions but we care for each other…”
“Sho…” Yuko didn’t find her words as a tear escaped her eyes.
“You two really are the same.” Shun commented, gaining Sho’s and Nino’s surprised look as Ryka’s previous statement echoed inside his head.
“Even if he doesn’t want to admit it, his bravery and protectiveness to all the ones he loves, he got that from you…”
“What do you mean Sakurai-san?”
“Yesterday in the afternoon, just before the attack, Takahashi-san came to me.” Shun smiled absentmindly, “She scolded me and compared me with a dumpling.” A chuckle escaped Nino’s mouth and a slight smile appeared on Sho’s lips too. “Do you know why?” Shun looked at his son.
“Because of what’s inside?”
“Exactly. She asked me if I ever thought about your pain because I force you to do things my way. If my son’s happiness and joy are worth all my money and influence that I and my company has? She even said my family is trapped inside the shell of my strictness, my desires and wishes, never thinking of what they want. She was truly parted from you but I guess there is not a minute when she didn’t think about you and your family, my son.”
“I know. She really cares more for others than herself.” Sho explained while looking at Ryka’s face again.
“This is true. Even though she said to me she would never allow herself to lose this baby, she went and protected you while she could silently observe. No ordinary woman would be able to risk her life and the life of her baby unless she really loved you.” Shun added.
“How come you are telling me this and why can we for the first time in my life talk like ordinary father and son, without arguing or yelling?”
Shun looked over to Ryka. “It’s her doing. She opened the dumpling in me and the sweet, puffy filling was set free. When Yamamoto-san called me yesterday and told me my family is in danger, her words came rushing to my mind. Her accusing words of never caring about my family but only about my business. This is why I dared to give anything away for real. I didn’t care if I have to give all of my money and company to him, what I wanted was to get my family back, safe and sound.”
“You got it all back, right?” Sho asked concerned.
“I did. Thank you for asking.” Shun replied and just wanted to say something more when another knock on the door disturbed him, reveling Nino’s and Ryka’s family members.
“Sakurai-san, these are my sister, Megumi-chan, my mother and Ryka’s and my father.” Nino explained after they all shared the formalities.
“How is Ryka-chan?” Megumi asked her brother.
“She is stable. The doctor said she needs to rest a lot. She will stay in the hospital for a month, not only because of yesterday’s attack but also because of overwork and stress.” Nino explained, everyone breathing out from relief.
“Sho…” Shun turned to his son again. “We will go now, I’m sorry for not staying longer…”
“It’s okay, I understand.” Sho replied.
“Come here, Sho.” Yuko asked him, waited as he gently put Ryka’s arm on the bed and came to his mother who waited for him with stretched arms. He fell into her tight embrace, feeling the support from her.
“Thank you…” Sho silently mumbled into her shoulder before she slowly let him go. Sho turned at his father, puzzled how do act towards him but didn’t have to think much as he pulled him into a bear hug.
“It’s okay now, son. Neither I nor mother will oppose you anymore. Please make sure your decisions are wise, this is all I want from you.” Shun could finally set his son free, to show him that he cares and wishes all the best for him.
“T… thank you.” Sho mumbled again, feeling overwhelmed. His father slowly moved away, turning to the Ninomiya family, Yuko following his example.
“Ninomiya-san…” Shun started, addressed Hideki. “I am really sorry about my actions and bad assumptions about your daughter. She didn’t deserve it but I hurt her feelings over and over again. I know I have to tell her this myself but as her family, I knew I had to apologize to you too. You are lucky to have another daughter like her Ninomiya-san.”
Hideki didn’t know how to react to this than accept the praise, “Hai, arigatou Sakurai-san. I am glad your opinion changed, this is what is more important than the past.” He patted the other man’s shoulder and smiled sincerely.
“Thank you.” Shun and Yuko replied, slightly bowing, signaling Sho to take care and slowly left. When they were gone Sho immediately returned to Ryka’s side, holding her hand again while the Ninomiya family found their places to sit down and started to have a conversation with Nino about the harsh night that was behind them.

She was smiling brightly, cuddling the little and fragile baby in her warm arms, careful to not let him go. The little boy smiled back at her while he sucked his little fingers. She removed them from his mouth, placing gentle kisses around his face, making the baby laugh even harder. At the same moment she felt the familiar hand touch her hair, making her turn to Sho who observed his girl and son with pride. Just then, out of the blue, baby started to cry as hard as he could.
“Shouta!” Ryka yelled as the baby slowly started to fade away from her arms. She turned to Sho for help but he wasn’t there anymore. Her arms felt empty, she lost it all, not only the baby but Sho too… Her world was spinning as tears beamed from her eyes, her chest clenching tightly as she screamed in despair.
“NOOOOO!” She screamed on top of her lungs, tears falling uncontrollably as she was restlessly shifting on the bed and from the arms that tried to keep her still.
“Ryka, calm down! It’s okay…” Sho tried to keep her still as she still didn’t wake up from her dream.
“Please… I don’t want to lose him… don’t want… to lose him… Sho! We can’t lose him! We have to save him! We need to save our baby!” She mumbled hysterically.
“I know! It’s okay, Ryka!” Sho held her down but shook her to wake her up. Her eyes snapped open, staring blankly at the worried face above her as her tears still streamed down her cheeks. “Calm down sweetie, everything will be all right.” Sho brushed her face and hair, his voice shaking as he saw her so upset.
Her hands arched to him, pulling herself closer and continued crying into his chest. “I’m sorry Sho! I didn’t mean to! Please don’t leave… not you too.” She still wailed, her fingers hurting as she gripped on his shirt too tightly. His arms wrapped around her, hugging her tightly.
“Please calm down… it’s all right, you shouldn’t upset yourself…” Sho mumbled as tears leaked from his eyes once again. “It was only a dream Ryka… calm down…” He brushed her hair to calm her down while he whispered soothing words into her ear. “I love you and I am not going anywhere…”
“Uuum, we will leave you two alone for a moment.” Nino teased with a smirk on his face, making Ryka realize that they were not alone. She flushed deeply, seeing her family and wiped the tears away even though new ones filled the face up. She wanted to set free from Sho’s tight embrace but he didn’t let her. They both observed how the whole Ninomiya family left the room, silently closing the door behind them.
The room was in silence for a moment until Ryka called Sho to gain his attention. “I’m… sorry… I didn’t mean to… I got hurt and… and…” Tears fell again as he pulled her even closer.
“It’s okay… But for now please… calm down… because I can’t see you like this… it hurts me too much…” Sho mumbled in her shoulder, his tender caresses never leaving her hair. “Besides… it’s not good for your… no… our baby.”
“But… Sho… I…” She tried to say but was stopped as Sho slightly loosened the hug, kissing her tenderly.
“Oh god how long I waited for this…” Sho whispered as he leaned his forehead to hers. “Listen Ryka, we still have our baby. The doctor said you had the devil’s luck but I don’t care who or what helped you as long as you two are all right. This is why please calm down, nothing is wrong.”
She observed his eyes for a few moments, not believing what he said. “Are you… serious?”
“I’m not joking if that’s what you mean; I’m not like Nino-kun.” Sho teased, lowering again to claim her lips. “And I’m sure even he wouldn’t joke about something like this. I’m serious and from now on young lady you will need to take care of yourself. You will be under my surveillance.”
“I don’t mind but how will you manage your work and watching over me?” She snuggled to his chest, slowly relaxing since she knew Sho wouldn’t lie to her.
“Don’t underestimate me. I have a lot of people to depend on. We have Nino-kun, Jun-kun, Ohno-kun, Aiba-kun then it’s also Sie-chan, Mai-chan, Megumi-chan, Shu-kun, my parents, your father and Nino-kun’s mother. See my army is ready anytime.” Sho smiled brightly. “Oh and I know you will be safe for a month since the doctor said you will need to stay here for observation.”
“Eh~~?!”
“Don’t use that tone young lady since you will be a mother soon.” Sho’s teasing had no ending.
“You are right, gomen, I will take care of myself. I don’t want to disappoint you, I want to have our baby.”
“That’s the spirit!” Sho praised her.
“Also…” Ryka fidgeted her fingers nervously. “May I come back now? Not because of the baby but because I decided not to run anymore. When I said I would go, I was actually running from you, your father, myself and my past. Now I want to move forward and if you want so too, let’s go together.” Ryka slowly looked at his eyes, silently waiting for his reply.
“You don’t have to ask that.” Sho brushed her cheeks, wiping the last trails of tears away and cupped her face between his palms. “You never left in my heart, you were there for the past four months.” His lips lowered on hers while her hands wrapped itself around his neck, both enjoying the joy of being together again, leaving their past behind them, looking forward to the still unborn child.

[Two days later…]
“Sho-nii, you called?” Mai came in Ryka’s hospital room, silently when she saw the girl sound asleep. She looked around, surprised to see this many people here. “What is going on?”
“Can you please watch over Ryka? We need to discuss something important.” Sho explained while he turned to the rest of Arashi members and Johnny, all sitting in the lounge of Ryka’s room.
“Sure.” Mai smiled and went to Ryka’s bed while Sho went to others.
“We are all here. Johnny-san you gathered us, please tell us what you wanted to talk about.”
Johnny cleared his throat before he began:
“Your parents came to me two days ago.” Sho’s view turned to him instantly, never expecting something like this. “They asked me if there is something I can do about you and Takahashi-chan.” Nino already wanted to say something as Johnny raised his hand to stop him, signaling him to listen to him first. “They want a marriage.”
“EEEh?” Aiba beamed as he couldn’t hold back his voice, Jun and Sho slapping his head, Jun because he interrupted Johnny and Sho because he would wake Ryka up. Aiba bowed with tears inside his eyes and looked back at Johnny.
“You guys know the rules in JE. I don’t allow any relationships, scandals or anything. That is why I originally gave you prostitutes because I knew it’s hard especially since you guys are grown men already. Sooner or later you will need to find someone you want to be with and build families.” Johnny’s look traveled through every eyes, stopping at Sho. “What you don’t know is a special rule allowing one member per group to marry when he turns thirty.” Faces of the present men light up, except for Sho’s. “This is what I can do to satisfy your parents Sakurai and since I heard about Takahashi-san’s pregnancy I think it’s the best.”
“Sho-san this is really great.” Jun commented as he noticed that Johnny finished.
“Yeah Sho-chan!” Aiba beamed again, while Ohno nodded and Nino smiled.
“It’s not great…” Sho mumbled, looking at Johnny again. “How do you expect me to be selfish and think only about my happiness with the girl I love? What about others…” He looked at other members. “They can’t marry because of me.”
“Sho-kun… me and Jun-kun will not think of marriage soon, you know how we are, we just like to play.” Nino commented while Jun added in agreement.
“I also don’t mind, I have no one for now. Even if I had I have no intention to marry.” Ohno mumbled while he sincerely looked at Sho.
“Sie-chan and I don’t even intend to marry also, well not yet. We would like to firstly be together, marriage is not that important to us but it is to you Sho-chan… because your parents are stricter than mine, they would never allow you to have a family without marriage while mine said many times that they don’t mind if I don’t marry as long as I have a girl.” Aiba explained his situation.
“Thank you guys but I still think this is not a good idea… I don’t want to be the one to cause you misfortune because of this…” Sho wavered.
“Will you stop thinking about us?!” Jun raised his voice but reminded himself to be quieter. “You really are a Sakurai… For once stop thinking about us, you always think of us and behave like a second mother to us. This time we unite for you, we want you to achieve your own happiness and never think of us that way. We wouldn’t blame you because we know you two deserve to be together.” Sho wanted to say something as Jun interrupted him while continuing his scolding, “We are your family! If you are happy, we are happy too! Sho, think of Ryka-chan and your baby for now. They deserve to have a wonderful family. Think of them and not us, Keio boy!”
“Oh, Ryka-chan good morning!” Mai’s voice entered the room, making them slightly turn their way while she helped the other girl to sit in her bed.
“Is something wrong?” Ryka asked her silently as she saw the seriousness of the guys in the lounge.
Mai smiled and tried to distract her, “Don’t worry and leave them because it’s about work.”
“Oh, then we better not disturb them…” Ryka added and turned to Mai again who started to rumble through her purse.
“Oh, by the way, Neesan… anou... I mean, I can call you that now, right?" Mai waited for confirmation and when she saw Ryka's nod, she continued, "Shu made something for you.” She pulled out a video tape and started to play with the television and the remote control. “I don’t know what it is since he said to give it to you. He also said that somehow it will help you know Sho-nii more. You know him, as an idol.”
“I wonder what he prepared…” Ryka smiled slightly, watching the screen as it turned on while Mai showed the others that it’s okay to continue their talk.
“Jun-kun is right Sho. It’s the same when you asked us to keep an eye on Ryka when you couldn’t. You are here all the time, rushing here from work, barely resting but while you are working, we are all here for you to be by her side. If you depend on us for keeping an eye on her, then don’t doubt when we say we give you the chance to give her and yourself happiness.” Nino continued where they left off.
“Sho-chan… you love her, right?” Aiba asked and Sho slowly nodded to his question. “Then you have to do everything you can to make her happy because I know only you can do it. No one is able to bring that big wide smile on her face, only you can. But it’s also you who can bring her misery. Don’t do that to her ne~, she went through a lot already.” Aiba added while placing his palm on Sho’s shoulder who couldn’t do anything but listen to his friends.
“Sho-san…” Even Ohno opened his mouth for the second time this day. “Don’t trouble yourself with the JE rule, we can gain happiness in other ways too. If someone deserves this chance, it’s you.”
“Of course I don’t demand an answer from you right now. Think about it.” Johnny added while he got up. “But if you decide to accept this then let me know, I will need to arrange a conference.” He turned to Nino, “Besides, Ninomiya-san, we will need to make one for you too since I’m sure you want to officially share the news about having a younger sister.”
“Hai, of course.” Nino nodded in agreement and looked at the laughs coming from Ryka and Mai, grinning widely as he saw her holding her abdomen proudly.
“That’s all.” Johnny announced, packed his stuff, greeted them and walked by Ryka and Mai, saying his farewell’s too.
“You guys are really something…” Sho mumbled as the five were left alone.
“We are only supporting you, that’s all.” Jun plopped his arm over Sho’s shoulder. The other three agreed and started patting Sho’s other shoulder, smiling widely. Suddenly they all burst in laughter as they heard the energetic smile from Ryka’s lips, followed by Mai’s.
“What are those two…?” Sho grunted and slowly walked to them. “What are you?” He asked but got another laugher as the girls looked at him, eyes full of tears. Then he heard his own voice coming from behind him. “Kowaii~~!” Both girls laughed again like crazy as Sho turned around and saw his frightened face on the monitor as he tried to climb up a ladder at the training park they did a few weeks ago. The other members laughed too as they saw the scene, Sho still stuck on his step.
“You know Ryka this is your Helmet-man.” Nino explained to the laughing Ryka, seeing the close up view of Sho from the small camera attached to his helmet. Just then the video changed to another scene, all Arashi members immediately knowing which.
“Today’s dame Arashi is… this guy…” Nakajima Tomoko announced while the camera showed the close up view of every member, terrified of the pool of icy water before them. Just then a short click was heard and Sho’s chair moved making him fall down in the water, panicky ran to the edge, out of the water and quickly in the small pool with warm water puffing the air in and out of his lungs. The room was roaring with laughter again, the video repeating the scene like five times from different angles.
“Guys…” Sho tried to say but stopped as he noticed Ryka holding her stomach tightly. “Ryka?” He called her while shoving the members away, rushing to her while Mai stopped the video. “Sweetie, are you okay?” He caressed her hair smoothly.
“I just laughed too much…” Ryka replied, smile back on her face.
Sho breathed out deeply. “Don’t scare me like this, baka!”
“Gomen.” She replied but still laughed.
“Guys, Mai, don’t make her laugh so much, it’s not good for her, she needs to be careful.” Sho turned to them with a serious look in his eyes.
“Sho, it’s healthy to laugh or are you afraid that my sis will change her mind after knowing the other side of you?” Nino teased, returning to his bratty attitude as they all know him.
“Shut up, Nino!” Sho barked.
“Then, who would you recommend Kazu-nii?” Ryka joined her brother’s game.
Sho sighed again, giving up when the two Ninomiyas were together. “I will go and grab some coffee. You guys can talk about this on your own. Someone else wants the coffee?” Sho waited for reply but got only stares, no reply. “Whatever, I’ll be back soon.” He said and turned around, slowly walked out of the room, closing the door softly.
“Is he upset now?” Aiba asked silently.
“Don’t you know him by now?” Jun teased. “He just needs to cool down a bit, that’s all.”
“Are you really okay now?” Mai asked Ryka carefully, still worried for her. “Mou, Shu shouldn’t make such videos for you while you are like this…” Mai grumbled over her younger brother.
“I’m okay, it’s fun and it’s nice to see this side of him. I know he is only embarrassed, he will get over it.” She smiled but then turned to Jun and called him.
“Hm? What is it?” He came closer to Ryka’s bed, sitting on the small chair.
“Umm everyone can I talk to Jun-kun…” Ryka called to others.
“Eh? What is it?” Nino asked curious but Ryka only waved with her head.
“It’s nothing much but I would like to discuss it only with Jun-kun if that’s all right?”
“Un I don’t see a problem.” Nino replied and made everyone go back to the lounge where they immediately started to have a talk on their own.
“What is it?” Jun turned to Ryka again, wondering what the girl wanted to talk about.
“The talk you had with Johnny-san wasn’t about work, was it?” She asked, immediately starting with what was bugging her. Jun looked over to the others with worry, knowing that he shouldn’t say anything.
“Ryka-chan I…”
“Jun-kun… Sho or Kazu will not tell me for sure. They are really worried for me and they don’t want to stress me… but knowing nothing is even harder. Please, tell me.” She eyed him with worry on her face.
“Ryka-chan, Sho-kun should tell you when he thinks that the time is right. I shouldn’t poke my nose into your business. You should ask Sho-kun about it.” Jun replied, hesitantly.
“But everyone talked about it so everyone has something to do with it. So don’t tell me you don’t want to be a part of our business since you already are.”
“It’s true but…”
“Please Jun-kun…” Ryka begged, her palm reaching his and she looked sincerely into his eyes. If I insist long enough, I know he will tell me…
Jun sighed deeply, “Okay… but I didn’t tell you.”
Ryka zipped her mouth with her fingers, “No one will know.” She promised and Jun quietly started to explain the conversation they had just a few minutes ago.

[Another two days later…]
“How are you feeling?” Sho asked as he changed the position with Sie who looked after Ryka for the past few hours. He leaned over for a short kiss and backed away, sitting on the chair.
“I’m fine. I had so much fun with Sie-chan. Just now I realized how I missed her, we really didn’t contact much for the past few months.” Ryka calmed him down. “Are you all right too? You are mostly here but also at work… Do you rest enough?”
“A few hours of sleep are enough for me.” Sho smiled and brushed her cheek. “Don’t worry about me.”
“I know, just don’t overexert yourself. I’m okay if I’m alone for a bit, knowing that you are resting because it’s also tiring to have someone around all the time.”
“Hai, I will remember that.” Sho agreed and took her palm in his. “Now, would you mind going somewhere with me?”
“Eh? Isn’t the visiting hours almost over? And it’s dark outside; I don’t think I am allowed to go…” Ryka wondered but Sho smiled.
“I asked if I can stay over by your side today. The staff wasn’t pleased but later let me. Besides I only want to take you on the roof, to catch the fresh air, it will do you good.” Sho explained.
“Sure, let’s go then.” Ryka smiled enthusiastically while Sho got up and prepared the wheel chair. “Sho?”
“You think I will let you walk four days after you almost lost out child? Don’t joke ne~.” Sho slightly scolded her and drove the wheel chair to her bed. Then he uncovered her and slowly helped her from the bed to the wheel chair. When she found a comfortable position, Sho also placed a blanked over her legs. “Don’t pout ne~.” Sho teased a little as he was still squatting before her.
“I feel as if I’m incapable of anything right now…”
“That is why I’m here now.” Sho replied with a smile, kissing her pouting lips which slowly curled up into a smile. “Should we go now?” He asked and got an approving nod in return.

Once coming outside, a wide smile shone on Ryka’s face.
“Uwah so many stars.” She uttered while looking up in the sky, letting Sho to push the wheel chair.
“I’m… glad you like it.” Sho stammered as he stopped them near the high fence. .
“What is it? You look nervous. Ah! We can go back a little, it’s the height ne~.” Ryka realized and tried to move the wheel chair but Sho stopped her, squatting beside her again.
“It’s okay, I’m not afraid of the height.” Sho explained while gently brushing her palm.
“What is it then?” She observed his face carefully, looking for any sign.
His hand reached for her hair, caressing it gently. “Ryka, I love you…” He uttered while his other hand stretched out to her, showing a small box, a ring shining proudly according to the lights on the roof.
“Eh?” She uttered a surprised sound.
“Please marry me.” He pushed his words out as he was too nervous to ask calmly. His nervousness rose even more when he saw her puzzled expression, looking straight into his eyes.
“Sho… you know that I love you too…” She spoke while lowering her view but then rose the view again to look into his eyes. “But… I can’t marry you now.”
“Eh? W… why? Why?” Sho panicked never expecting this kind of answer.
“I know about JE rules, we have to respect that as part of your job and I don’t mind it. But…” Her view lowered again, this time to her abdomen. “I can’t marry you while being an ugly, fat balloon.” She felt Sho’s tight hug and she leaned on him, wrapping her arms around him too.
“Goodness sweetie! You really scared me for a moment. I thought I failed…” Sho uttered while leaned up and kissed her forehead lovingly while he touched her baby bump. “I understand what you want. Don’t worry we will wait until the baby is born but after that, please marry me.” Sho tried again, holding out the ring.
“Sho, you are cool, gentle, a little strict and sometimes a failure but I love you for who you are… I would never say no to you.” Ryka uttered and leaned to him again, wrapping her hands around his neck, kissing his lips.
“Thank you Ryka.” Sho replied, wide smile plastered on his face as he held her palm in his, slowly pushing the ring on her ring finger. “Can I request something else?” Sho looked in her eyes again.
“Sure.”
“Can… I listen to our baby?” Sho shot his request.
“Silly you can’t hear him or her yet…” Ryka smiled sincerely.
“I insist.” Sho pursed his lips.
“Hai, hai, come here.” She invited him, letting his head lean against her abdomen. “Baka.” She smiled while Sho closed his eyes, concentrating if he would hear anything even though he also knew it was still too soon for that. What he wanted was to enjoy her closeness and gentle caresses through his hair, experiencing the true happiness.

Chapter 26 ~ JE rule
The room was bright as the morning sun shined through the windows, lightening up the previous hours of the night. It was quiet even though three people were in, what they heard were only silent breathings of their own chest and Sho’s silent murmurs. He was holding on the weak arm, unable to hold itself up, with both palms, his mouth pressed on the limp fingers. His eyes were closed, waiting for the girl on the bed beside him to wake up so that he could embrace her and with this calm his soul down.
The other person in the room, looked at the pair, especially his sister. He thought he would lose his mind when he was informed about her condition that she suffered during the kidnapping. He said he would always be there for her but felt helpless when he saw her lying in Sho’s embrace, barely conscious from the pain in her abdomen. Now staring at her pale face, he still felt the same but tried to stay sane, if not for himself but for Sho who felt the same as he.
A gentle knock on the door woke them up from the trance, both looking at still sleeping Ryka to make sure the knock didn’t wake her up and then they turned their look to the door that just slid to the side, revealing Sho’s parents. They greeted with a slight bow, both looking at Sho and then at Ryka’s peaceful face.
“Is… she okay?” Yuko silently asked, afraid of the answer.
Sho sighed tiredly. “It’s all right now.” He brushed Ryka’s face a little and then her hair, a large lump stuck in his throat as he tried to hold back his tears. He was tired, he cried enough for the day and he was afraid that not even one can be spilled again.
“Sho…” Shun called him, having a large lump in his throat too. “I’m really sorry about what happened… It’s all my fault, I admit it.”
“Father, I know that… I know who you are. You are strict and want to have it your way but I know that behind all that you are doing it because you care for us. Maybe I got a part of that from you and that is why we are always arguing… I always thought I hated you for who you are… a father who would never listen to me… but then I realized how much I care for both of you. No matter what, we are family. We may argue, have different opinions but we care for each other…”
“Sho…” Yuko didn’t find her words as a tear escaped her eyes.
“You two really are the same.” Shun commented, gaining Sho’s and Nino’s surprised look as Ryka’s previous statement echoed inside his head.
“Even if he doesn’t want to admit it, his bravery and protectiveness to all the ones he loves, he got that from you…”
“What do you mean Sakurai-san?”
“Yesterday in the afternoon, just before the attack, Takahashi-san came to me.” Shun smiled absentmindly, “She scolded me and compared me with a dumpling.” A chuckle escaped Nino’s mouth and a slight smile appeared on Sho’s lips too. “Do you know why?” Shun looked at his son.
“Because of what’s inside?”
“Exactly. She asked me if I ever thought about your pain because I force you to do things my way. If my son’s happiness and joy are worth all my money and influence that I and my company has? She even said my family is trapped inside the shell of my strictness, my desires and wishes, never thinking of what they want. She was truly parted from you but I guess there is not a minute when she didn’t think about you and your family, my son.”
“I know. She really cares more for others than herself.” Sho explained while looking at Ryka’s face again.
“This is true. Even though she said to me she would never allow herself to lose this baby, she went and protected you while she could silently observe. No ordinary woman would be able to risk her life and the life of her baby unless she really loved you.” Shun added.
“How come you are telling me this and why can we for the first time in my life talk like ordinary father and son, without arguing or yelling?”
Shun looked over to Ryka. “It’s her doing. She opened the dumpling in me and the sweet, puffy filling was set free. When Yamamoto-san called me yesterday and told me my family is in danger, her words came rushing to my mind. Her accusing words of never caring about my family but only about my business. This is why I dared to give anything away for real. I didn’t care if I have to give all of my money and company to him, what I wanted was to get my family back, safe and sound.”
“You got it all back, right?” Sho asked concerned.
“I did. Thank you for asking.” Shun replied and just wanted to say something more when another knock on the door disturbed him, reveling Nino’s and Ryka’s family members.
“Sakurai-san, these are my sister, Megumi-chan, my mother and Ryka’s and my father.” Nino explained after they all shared the formalities.
“How is Ryka-chan?” Megumi asked her brother.
“She is stable. The doctor said she needs to rest a lot. She will stay in the hospital for a month, not only because of yesterday’s attack but also because of overwork and stress.” Nino explained, everyone breathing out from relief.
“Sho…” Shun turned to his son again. “We will go now, I’m sorry for not staying longer…”
“It’s okay, I understand.” Sho replied.
“Come here, Sho.” Yuko asked him, waited as he gently put Ryka’s arm on the bed and came to his mother who waited for him with stretched arms. He fell into her tight embrace, feeling the support from her.
“Thank you…” Sho silently mumbled into her shoulder before she slowly let him go. Sho turned at his father, puzzled how do act towards him but didn’t have to think much as he pulled him into a bear hug.
“It’s okay now, son. Neither I nor mother will oppose you anymore. Please make sure your decisions are wise, this is all I want from you.” Shun could finally set his son free, to show him that he cares and wishes all the best for him.
“T… thank you.” Sho mumbled again, feeling overwhelmed. His father slowly moved away, turning to the Ninomiya family, Yuko following his example.
“Ninomiya-san…” Shun started, addressed Hideki. “I am really sorry about my actions and bad assumptions about your daughter. She didn’t deserve it but I hurt her feelings over and over again. I know I have to tell her this myself but as her family, I knew I had to apologize to you too. You are lucky to have another daughter like her Ninomiya-san.”
Hideki didn’t know how to react to this than accept the praise, “Hai, arigatou Sakurai-san. I am glad your opinion changed, this is what is more important than the past.” He patted the other man’s shoulder and smiled sincerely.
“Thank you.” Shun and Yuko replied, slightly bowing, signaling Sho to take care and slowly left. When they were gone Sho immediately returned to Ryka’s side, holding her hand again while the Ninomiya family found their places to sit down and started to have a conversation with Nino about the harsh night that was behind them.

She was smiling brightly, cuddling the little and fragile baby in her warm arms, careful to not let him go. The little boy smiled back at her while he sucked his little fingers. She removed them from his mouth, placing gentle kisses around his face, making the baby laugh even harder. At the same moment she felt the familiar hand touch her hair, making her turn to Sho who observed his girl and son with pride. Just then, out of the blue, baby started to cry as hard as he could.
“Shouta!” Ryka yelled as the baby slowly started to fade away from her arms. She turned to Sho for help but he wasn’t there anymore. Her arms felt empty, she lost it all, not only the baby but Sho too… Her world was spinning as tears beamed from her eyes, her chest clenching tightly as she screamed in despair.
“NOOOOO!” She screamed on top of her lungs, tears falling uncontrollably as she was restlessly shifting on the bed and from the arms that tried to keep her still.
“Ryka, calm down! It’s okay…” Sho tried to keep her still as she still didn’t wake up from her dream.
“Please… I don’t want to lose him… don’t want… to lose him… Sho! We can’t lose him! We have to save him! We need to save our baby!” She mumbled hysterically.
“I know! It’s okay, Ryka!” Sho held her down but shook her to wake her up. Her eyes snapped open, staring blankly at the worried face above her as her tears still streamed down her cheeks. “Calm down sweetie, everything will be all right.” Sho brushed her face and hair, his voice shaking as he saw her so upset.
Her hands arched to him, pulling herself closer and continued crying into his chest. “I’m sorry Sho! I didn’t mean to! Please don’t leave… not you too.” She still wailed, her fingers hurting as she gripped on his shirt too tightly. His arms wrapped around her, hugging her tightly.
“Please calm down… it’s all right, you shouldn’t upset yourself…” Sho mumbled as tears leaked from his eyes once again. “It was only a dream Ryka… calm down…” He brushed her hair to calm her down while he whispered soothing words into her ear. “I love you and I am not going anywhere…”
“Uuum, we will leave you two alone for a moment.” Nino teased with a smirk on his face, making Ryka realize that they were not alone. She flushed deeply, seeing her family and wiped the tears away even though new ones filled the face up. She wanted to set free from Sho’s tight embrace but he didn’t let her. They both observed how the whole Ninomiya family left the room, silently closing the door behind them.
The room was in silence for a moment until Ryka called Sho to gain his attention. “I’m… sorry… I didn’t mean to… I got hurt and… and…” Tears fell again as he pulled her even closer.
“It’s okay… But for now please… calm down… because I can’t see you like this… it hurts me too much…” Sho mumbled in her shoulder, his tender caresses never leaving her hair. “Besides… it’s not good for your… no… our baby.”
“But… Sho… I…” She tried to say but was stopped as Sho slightly loosened the hug, kissing her tenderly.
“Oh god how long I waited for this…” Sho whispered as he leaned his forehead to hers. “Listen Ryka, we still have our baby. The doctor said you had the devil’s luck but I don’t care who or what helped you as long as you two are all right. This is why please calm down, nothing is wrong.”
She observed his eyes for a few moments, not believing what he said. “Are you… serious?”
“I’m not joking if that’s what you mean; I’m not like Nino-kun.” Sho teased, lowering again to claim her lips. “And I’m sure even he wouldn’t joke about something like this. I’m serious and from now on young lady you will need to take care of yourself. You will be under my surveillance.”
“I don’t mind but how will you manage your work and watching over me?” She snuggled to his chest, slowly relaxing since she knew Sho wouldn’t lie to her.
“Don’t underestimate me. I have a lot of people to depend on. We have Nino-kun, Jun-kun, Ohno-kun, Aiba-kun then it’s also Sie-chan, Mai-chan, Megumi-chan, Shu-kun, my parents, your father and Nino-kun’s mother. See my army is ready anytime.” Sho smiled brightly. “Oh and I know you will be safe for a month since the doctor said you will need to stay here for observation.”
“Eh~~?!”
“Don’t use that tone young lady since you will be a mother soon.” Sho’s teasing had no ending.
“You are right, gomen, I will take care of myself. I don’t want to disappoint you, I want to have our baby.”
“That’s the spirit!” Sho praised her.
“Also…” Ryka fidgeted her fingers nervously. “May I come back now? Not because of the baby but because I decided not to run anymore. When I said I would go, I was actually running from you, your father, myself and my past. Now I want to move forward and if you want so too, let’s go together.” Ryka slowly looked at his eyes, silently waiting for his reply.
“You don’t have to ask that.” Sho brushed her cheeks, wiping the last trails of tears away and cupped her face between his palms. “You never left in my heart, you were there for the past four months.” His lips lowered on hers while her hands wrapped itself around his neck, both enjoying the joy of being together again, leaving their past behind them, looking forward to the still unborn child.

[Two days later…]
“Sho-nii, you called?” Mai came in Ryka’s hospital room, silently when she saw the girl sound asleep. She looked around, surprised to see this many people here. “What is going on?”
“Can you please watch over Ryka? We need to discuss something important.” Sho explained while he turned to the rest of Arashi members and Johnny, all sitting in the lounge of Ryka’s room.
“Sure.” Mai smiled and went to Ryka’s bed while Sho went to others.
“We are all here. Johnny-san you gathered us, please tell us what you wanted to talk about.”
Johnny cleared his throat before he began:
“Your parents came to me two days ago.” Sho’s view turned to him instantly, never expecting something like this. “They asked me if there is something I can do about you and Takahashi-chan.” Nino already wanted to say something as Johnny raised his hand to stop him, signaling him to listen to him first. “They want a marriage.”
“EEEh?” Aiba beamed as he couldn’t hold back his voice, Jun and Sho slapping his head, Jun because he interrupted Johnny and Sho because he would wake Ryka up. Aiba bowed with tears inside his eyes and looked back at Johnny.
“You guys know the rules in JE. I don’t allow any relationships, scandals or anything. That is why I originally gave you prostitutes because I knew it’s hard especially since you guys are grown men already. Sooner or later you will need to find someone you want to be with and build families.” Johnny’s look traveled through every eyes, stopping at Sho. “What you don’t know is a special rule allowing one member per group to marry when he turns thirty.” Faces of the present men light up, except for Sho’s. “This is what I can do to satisfy your parents Sakurai and since I heard about Takahashi-san’s pregnancy I think it’s the best.”
“Sho-san this is really great.” Jun commented as he noticed that Johnny finished.
“Yeah Sho-chan!” Aiba beamed again, while Ohno nodded and Nino smiled.
“It’s not great…” Sho mumbled, looking at Johnny again. “How do you expect me to be selfish and think only about my happiness with the girl I love? What about others…” He looked at other members. “They can’t marry because of me.”
“Sho-kun… me and Jun-kun will not think of marriage soon, you know how we are, we just like to play.” Nino commented while Jun added in agreement.
“I also don’t mind, I have no one for now. Even if I had I have no intention to marry.” Ohno mumbled while he sincerely looked at Sho.
“Sie-chan and I don’t even intend to marry also, well not yet. We would like to firstly be together, marriage is not that important to us but it is to you Sho-chan… because your parents are stricter than mine, they would never allow you to have a family without marriage while mine said many times that they don’t mind if I don’t marry as long as I have a girl.” Aiba explained his situation.
“Thank you guys but I still think this is not a good idea… I don’t want to be the one to cause you misfortune because of this…” Sho wavered.
“Will you stop thinking about us?!” Jun raised his voice but reminded himself to be quieter. “You really are a Sakurai… For once stop thinking about us, you always think of us and behave like a second mother to us. This time we unite for you, we want you to achieve your own happiness and never think of us that way. We wouldn’t blame you because we know you two deserve to be together.” Sho wanted to say something as Jun interrupted him while continuing his scolding, “We are your family! If you are happy, we are happy too! Sho, think of Ryka-chan and your baby for now. They deserve to have a wonderful family. Think of them and not us, Keio boy!”
“Oh, Ryka-chan good morning!” Mai’s voice entered the room, making them slightly turn their way while she helped the other girl to sit in her bed.
“Is something wrong?” Ryka asked her silently as she saw the seriousness of the guys in the lounge.
Mai smiled and tried to distract her, “Don’t worry and leave them because it’s about work.”
“Oh, then we better not disturb them…” Ryka added and turned to Mai again who started to rumble through her purse.
“Oh, by the way, Neesan… anou... I mean, I can call you that now, right?" Mai waited for confirmation and when she saw Ryka's nod, she continued, "Shu made something for you.” She pulled out a video tape and started to play with the television and the remote control. “I don’t know what it is since he said to give it to you. He also said that somehow it will help you know Sho-nii more. You know him, as an idol.”
“I wonder what he prepared…” Ryka smiled slightly, watching the screen as it turned on while Mai showed the others that it’s okay to continue their talk.
“Jun-kun is right Sho. It’s the same when you asked us to keep an eye on Ryka when you couldn’t. You are here all the time, rushing here from work, barely resting but while you are working, we are all here for you to be by her side. If you depend on us for keeping an eye on her, then don’t doubt when we say we give you the chance to give her and yourself happiness.” Nino continued where they left off.
“Sho-chan… you love her, right?” Aiba asked and Sho slowly nodded to his question. “Then you have to do everything you can to make her happy because I know only you can do it. No one is able to bring that big wide smile on her face, only you can. But it’s also you who can bring her misery. Don’t do that to her ne~, she went through a lot already.” Aiba added while placing his palm on Sho’s shoulder who couldn’t do anything but listen to his friends.
“Sho-san…” Even Ohno opened his mouth for the second time this day. “Don’t trouble yourself with the JE rule, we can gain happiness in other ways too. If someone deserves this chance, it’s you.”
“Of course I don’t demand an answer from you right now. Think about it.” Johnny added while he got up. “But if you decide to accept this then let me know, I will need to arrange a conference.” He turned to Nino, “Besides, Ninomiya-san, we will need to make one for you too since I’m sure you want to officially share the news about having a younger sister.”
“Hai, of course.” Nino nodded in agreement and looked at the laughs coming from Ryka and Mai, grinning widely as he saw her holding her abdomen proudly.
“That’s all.” Johnny announced, packed his stuff, greeted them and walked by Ryka and Mai, saying his farewell’s too.
“You guys are really something…” Sho mumbled as the five were left alone.
“We are only supporting you, that’s all.” Jun plopped his arm over Sho’s shoulder. The other three agreed and started patting Sho’s other shoulder, smiling widely. Suddenly they all burst in laughter as they heard the energetic smile from Ryka’s lips, followed by Mai’s.
“What are those two…?” Sho grunted and slowly walked to them. “What are you?” He asked but got another laugher as the girls looked at him, eyes full of tears. Then he heard his own voice coming from behind him. “Kowaii~~!” Both girls laughed again like crazy as Sho turned around and saw his frightened face on the monitor as he tried to climb up a ladder at the training park they did a few weeks ago. The other members laughed too as they saw the scene, Sho still stuck on his step.
“You know Ryka this is your Helmet-man.” Nino explained to the laughing Ryka, seeing the close up view of Sho from the small camera attached to his helmet. Just then the video changed to another scene, all Arashi members immediately knowing which.
“Today’s dame Arashi is… this guy…” Nakajima Tomoko announced while the camera showed the close up view of every member, terrified of the pool of icy water before them. Just then a short click was heard and Sho’s chair moved making him fall down in the water, panicky ran to the edge, out of the water and quickly in the small pool with warm water puffing the air in and out of his lungs. The room was roaring with laughter again, the video repeating the scene like five times from different angles.
“Guys…” Sho tried to say but stopped as he noticed Ryka holding her stomach tightly. “Ryka?” He called her while shoving the members away, rushing to her while Mai stopped the video. “Sweetie, are you okay?” He caressed her hair smoothly.
“I just laughed too much…” Ryka replied, smile back on her face.
Sho breathed out deeply. “Don’t scare me like this, baka!”
“Gomen.” She replied but still laughed.
“Guys, Mai, don’t make her laugh so much, it’s not good for her, she needs to be careful.” Sho turned to them with a serious look in his eyes.
“Sho, it’s healthy to laugh or are you afraid that my sis will change her mind after knowing the other side of you?” Nino teased, returning to his bratty attitude as they all know him.
“Shut up, Nino!” Sho barked.
“Then, who would you recommend Kazu-nii?” Ryka joined her brother’s game.
Sho sighed again, giving up when the two Ninomiyas were together. “I will go and grab some coffee. You guys can talk about this on your own. Someone else wants the coffee?” Sho waited for reply but got only stares, no reply. “Whatever, I’ll be back soon.” He said and turned around, slowly walked out of the room, closing the door softly.
“Is he upset now?” Aiba asked silently.
“Don’t you know him by now?” Jun teased. “He just needs to cool down a bit, that’s all.”
“Are you really okay now?” Mai asked Ryka carefully, still worried for her. “Mou, Shu shouldn’t make such videos for you while you are like this…” Mai grumbled over her younger brother.
“I’m okay, it’s fun and it’s nice to see this side of him. I know he is only embarrassed, he will get over it.” She smiled but then turned to Jun and called him.
“Hm? What is it?” He came closer to Ryka’s bed, sitting on the small chair.
“Umm everyone can I talk to Jun-kun…” Ryka called to others.
“Eh? What is it?” Nino asked curious but Ryka only waved with her head.
“It’s nothing much but I would like to discuss it only with Jun-kun if that’s all right?”
“Un I don’t see a problem.” Nino replied and made everyone go back to the lounge where they immediately started to have a talk on their own.
“What is it?” Jun turned to Ryka again, wondering what the girl wanted to talk about.
“The talk you had with Johnny-san wasn’t about work, was it?” She asked, immediately starting with what was bugging her. Jun looked over to the others with worry, knowing that he shouldn’t say anything.
“Ryka-chan I…”
“Jun-kun… Sho or Kazu will not tell me for sure. They are really worried for me and they don’t want to stress me… but knowing nothing is even harder. Please, tell me.” She eyed him with worry on her face.
“Ryka-chan, Sho-kun should tell you when he thinks that the time is right. I shouldn’t poke my nose into your business. You should ask Sho-kun about it.” Jun replied, hesitantly.
“But everyone talked about it so everyone has something to do with it. So don’t tell me you don’t want to be a part of our business since you already are.”
“It’s true but…”
“Please Jun-kun…” Ryka begged, her palm reaching his and she looked sincerely into his eyes. If I insist long enough, I know he will tell me…
Jun sighed deeply, “Okay… but I didn’t tell you.”
Ryka zipped her mouth with her fingers, “No one will know.” She promised and Jun quietly started to explain the conversation they had just a few minutes ago.

[Another two days later…]
“How are you feeling?” Sho asked as he changed the position with Sie who looked after Ryka for the past few hours. He leaned over for a short kiss and backed away, sitting on the chair.
“I’m fine. I had so much fun with Sie-chan. Just now I realized how I missed her, we really didn’t contact much for the past few months.” Ryka calmed him down. “Are you all right too? You are mostly here but also at work… Do you rest enough?”
“A few hours of sleep are enough for me.” Sho smiled and brushed her cheek. “Don’t worry about me.”
“I know, just don’t overexert yourself. I’m okay if I’m alone for a bit, knowing that you are resting because it’s also tiring to have someone around all the time.”
“Hai, I will remember that.” Sho agreed and took her palm in his. “Now, would you mind going somewhere with me?”
“Eh? Isn’t the visiting hours almost over? And it’s dark outside; I don’t think I am allowed to go…” Ryka wondered but Sho smiled.
“I asked if I can stay over by your side today. The staff wasn’t pleased but later let me. Besides I only want to take you on the roof, to catch the fresh air, it will do you good.” Sho explained.
“Sure, let’s go then.” Ryka smiled enthusiastically while Sho got up and prepared the wheel chair. “Sho?”
“You think I will let you walk four days after you almost lost out child? Don’t joke ne~.” Sho slightly scolded her and drove the wheel chair to her bed. Then he uncovered her and slowly helped her from the bed to the wheel chair. When she found a comfortable position, Sho also placed a blanked over her legs. “Don’t pout ne~.” Sho teased a little as he was still squatting before her.
“I feel as if I’m incapable of anything right now…”
“That is why I’m here now.” Sho replied with a smile, kissing her pouting lips which slowly curled up into a smile. “Should we go now?” He asked and got an approving nod in return.

Once coming outside, a wide smile shone on Ryka’s face.
“Uwah so many stars.” She uttered while looking up in the sky, letting Sho to push the wheel chair.
“I’m… glad you like it.” Sho stammered as he stopped them near the high fence. .
“What is it? You look nervous. Ah! We can go back a little, it’s the height ne~.” Ryka realized and tried to move the wheel chair but Sho stopped her, squatting beside her again.
“It’s okay, I’m not afraid of the height.” Sho explained while gently brushing her palm.
“What is it then?” She observed his face carefully, looking for any sign.
His hand reached for her hair, caressing it gently. “Ryka, I love you…” He uttered while his other hand stretched out to her, showing a small box, a ring shining proudly according to the lights on the roof.
“Eh?” She uttered a surprised sound.
“Please marry me.” He pushed his words out as he was too nervous to ask calmly. His nervousness rose even more when he saw her puzzled expression, looking straight into his eyes.
“Sho… you know that I love you too…” She spoke while lowering her view but then rose the view again to look into his eyes. “But… I can’t marry you now.”
“Eh? W… why? Why?” Sho panicked never expecting this kind of answer.
“I know about JE rules, we have to respect that as part of your job and I don’t mind it. But…” Her view lowered again, this time to her abdomen. “I can’t marry you while being an ugly, fat balloon.” She felt Sho’s tight hug and she leaned on him, wrapping her arms around him too.
“Goodness sweetie! You really scared me for a moment. I thought I failed…” Sho uttered while leaned up and kissed her forehead lovingly while he touched her baby bump. “I understand what you want. Don’t worry we will wait until the baby is born but after that, please marry me.” Sho tried again, holding out the ring.
“Sho, you are cool, gentle, a little strict and sometimes a failure but I love you for who you are… I would never say no to you.” Ryka uttered and leaned to him again, wrapping her hands around his neck, kissing his lips.
“Thank you Ryka.” Sho replied, wide smile plastered on his face as he held her palm in his, slowly pushing the ring on her ring finger. “Can I request something else?” Sho looked in her eyes again.
“Sure.”
“Can… I listen to our baby?” Sho shot his request.
“Silly you can’t hear him or her yet…” Ryka smiled sincerely.
“I insist.” Sho pursed his lips.
“Hai, hai, come here.” She invited him, letting his head lean against her abdomen. “Baka.” She smiled while Sho closed his eyes, concentrating if he would hear anything even though he also knew it was still too soon for that. What he wanted was to enjoy her closeness and gentle caresses through his hair, experiencing the true happiness.

A/N: Uwaaaah how was it ne~? Now I can be honest: I didn't want Ryka to lose her child because she went through a lot and I didn't want her to suffer. But some intense moments are what I love so please forgive us ne xD
