day number two of design all day and nite. i'm so slammed at work and yet, all i can think about is getting more andrea projects to work on at home. paul asked me to make some complimentary drink cards (biz card size) to be ready for the Peaches show on monday, i made two option comps:
the first is a pixel motif. i drew all the little icons px by px (they took so f'ing long) and had to set the kerning on every single letter (who knew pixelfonts were so damn irregular?).
the second is just somehting i pulled out my ass after i spent hours on the first one. it's all type. i realized the asterisk looked a little like a bow on a package, and since these cards are going to be passed out as "gifts" anyway, i figure it's appropriate for the season. yeah, that's some bachelor's degree concept bullshit rite there.
cede doesn't think it goes well with the direction crush is going, and i agree. it's too bold and dramatic and contrasty and not as fun as the first. and kind of interpol-y. it would probably be more appropriate for another kind of event.
i feel like i'm in school again. tomorrow is going to be intense, two business systems and a newsletter due on friday. yeowza.
