It has been so long since I've last written anything! Haha... Feels great to be able to express myself once again.
So, 1.5months has passed and time really flies in Tokyo! I can get up at 6am and still feel that I do not have enough time.
The pace (including the pace of how fast people actually walk) is incredibly fast. People won't slow down for you. It's up to you to deal with the fast pace. Catch up or lose out. Of course, that doesn't only apply to Japan. It happens everywhere else.
As much as I love a fast paced life, once in a while, I'll feel like I need a break / a short getaway from all the hustle and bustle of the city life.
Friends who know me will know that I'm a city girl and anything slow will bore me.
As expected, i actually liked my short getaway, outside of Tokyo, where time passed slowly for once! Time in Tokyo never slows down, ever, and so, I was amazed and at the same time happy that I could enjoy doing things at a slower pace.
Ahhh, the ironies in life!
Naturally, not all is rosey. I mean, come on, there's no perfect country to live in. There will always be pros (eg. food, shopping, concerts, events) and cons (eg. social norms, things that are considered embarrassing, certain rules).
Sometimes, I wish that I could keep my perfect image of Japan (fun, fun and just fun!) the way it was back in 2008. However, that isn't possible because living here (unlike being on a holiday) means having to deal with the good and the bad.
Moving forward, hello spring 2012(:
