I'm not sure I told you about it, probably not, but before Christmas, when I was at femaleshinigami's place I looked through ads about flats and rooms, etc. And I found this nice ad about a place, which was awesome and I thought it shall be mine, but there was this little problem about how far it was. And so everyone killed my enthusiasm with their reality.
Well, lately K. was so desperate with looking for a new flat that beside looking through ads, she posted her own stating that we're looking for a place to rent. And a day later one person responded. And it was Mr. Sylvester - the owner of the place I loved so much. We decided it's fate and we have to at least check this place out! :D
So, today we were supposed to check one other place (more expensive, but closer and with the third roommate of ours), but only if the previous people who were going to look at it wouldn't take it. So, I spent almost whole time since yesterday afternoon repeating in my mind: let them take it, let them take it before us, let them take it! AND SO THEY DID.
We took the bus to the island (I didn't mention it before, my dreamed place is on the island!) and we took the one which drove the longest (XD) and it was epic. The fog everywhere, darkness it was so creepy, epic and lovely. I LOVED IT. I was grinning like mad, K. was looking less and less convinced. And I was just thinking: don't let K. hate it! don't let K. hate it!
We got a bit lost. I automatically felt like we should go in a certain direction. (Which is shocking in my case, 'cause I have no sense of direction.) Of course K. fought with me, but eventually we got on the right track. (After we went to the end of the street I said we have to follow and finally took right like I said and not left). We walk on and I suddenly stopped before one building and said: I don't know if it's here, but I like this place.
K: It's number 14.
Me: o_0
K: Aren't we looking for 12?
Me: Check.
K: Oh. It's 14.
We were a bit worried about the sign about the dangerous dog and eventually Mr. Sylvester went out to greet us and assure us the dog is closed in the other apartment and wont eat us. The little house is truly awesome. Downstairs is taken by Mr. Sylvester's niece and her husband, first floor is taken by us (K., me and Mr. Sylvester).
Mr. Sylvester opens the first room to show it to us and Kryś gets in, looks around already planning where to put what. I stayed in the hall just glancing. Somehow without any sort of signs we assumed it will be K.'s room. Then other room. K. didn't even walk in, it was obviously mine. XD Besides that there's living room/Mr. Sylvester's room, kitchen (fully equiped) and pretty bathroom. Downstairs there's a huge dog, which is apparently very friendly. Her name is Dorris and I can't wait to meet her! :D (K. is not overly excited, she doesn't love dogs, but she doesn't mind and I wanna hug this sweet doggie!)
My room is smaller, but 1) warmer 2) with a bed facing the door 3) with a good desk 4) looking more lived in (this one is hard to explain, but my room is colorful and looking as if some really clean teenager just moved out if it, K.'s room is white and new and not my style at all). (But there's an awesome bear skin on her floor, we named the bear Eustachy.)
Mr. Sylvester even apologized us for not having a cleaner. And every time we started something with "Wouldn't it be a problem if..." he seemed what we ask about could be a problem to anyone. Mr. Sylvester is pretty awesome so far. We only fear he likes order a bit too much, but at least we it will make us pay attention and clean after ourselves.
We have an awesome garden and grill. 500 meters to the beach. Forest. Two schools on our street and two campings. Basically it's a place that now looks deserted, but when it'll be warmer there would be a crowd. And apparently Mr. Sylvester owns a small bar on the road to the beach and wouldn't mind us working there. XD
With no traffic we will be driving to the uni for about an hour. There's almost always traffic. Which makes it 2 hours or more XD But who cares?!!!!11!! WE'RE GOING TO BE LIVING ON THE ISLAND!!!
Now I just need to find a way to pay security deposit and in two weeks we're finally moving to this awesome, awesome, AWESOME place. I can't wait! :D
Oh, one more thing. The street we live on: Rainbow Street. Tell me this place is not epic XD
