Why do I hate girls?
You see, today I again got caught at the fact that I could list bunch of actors playing in a series of movies, but again I forgot the actress name. I just really don’t care about female characters in movies and TV-shows. And I guess I could go on talking how female characters are usually flat, boring and predictable. How even when I found some female character interesting she’s overshadowed by the male character. But on the other hand I can’t really think of a way to change it. I can’t really imagine a character that would be both female and really capturing and actually better than a male character. There are really very few female characters that I truly adore, respect and love.
And yes, up to some point it’s because I’m a het-oriented ace and a slasher. I just like guys. And I don’t like girls ruining my slashes, obviously. But I am pretty sure there’s something wrong with fictional female characters, because lately a bunch of my favorite actors (whom I slash all the time) got engaged/married/renew the vows of the marriage and I was like: I really want to hate those girls, because they ruin my fics, but… I really can’t. I know that lots of people in the fandom do hate them (which I found ridiculous, by the way), but I simply can’t. Of course I can’t really say I know them very well, but on the other hand it’s not like I’m BFFs with theirs partners that I’m a fan of.
I’m now considering making some sort of series of picspams with icons and stuff for the few fictional girls I really love. And perhaps something with those real life girls that made me realize all this. I mean seriously, the guys I’m currently most fangirling about are all taken. One just got engaged, the other married and the third one renewed his vows (and call me Queen of Fluff - again - but I just found renewing of your vows the most adorable thing in the world, especially when it’s done on Valentine’s Day in a frickin’ shop). And I love all those girls very, very much. And I’m totally fangirling them too.
So, yeah. Expect some picspams. Picspams are fun. XD
