The House sucks and coffee can protect from liver cancer.

House approves tougher indecency fines

"The measure, which passed 389-38, boosts the maximum fine from $32,500 to $500,000 for a company and from $11,000 to $500,000 for an individual entertainer."

Man, this is crazy. I can honestly understand why I wouldn't want my children watching the Jerry Springer show, but to fine $10+ million (500,000 for each individual CBS co.) for an accidental tit-slip that half of Americans could barely see (unless you had a huge HDTV), is pretty ridiculous. (Speaking of which, it is "ridiculous" not "rediculous")

Secondly,

Study: Less liver cancer in coffee drinkers

"They found the likely occurrence of liver cancer in people who never or almost never drank coffee was 547.2 cases per 100,000 people over 10 years."

"But for people who drank coffee daily the risk was 214.6 cases per 100,000, the researchers report in this week's issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute."

Only reason I post this is because Seattle is known for their coffee drinking habits. (Of course, people also think it rains 500 days out of the year)

In personal news, I received a pair of running shoes for my valentines day present, which is the opposite of chocolates and candies. To celebrate, I ran four miles both yesterday and today. Mad skillz.

And finally, it's interesting how I don't even talk to my brothers that much, but we hear whats going on in our lives via livejournal.

So hopefully Jonah lands that new job. And hopefully Micah enjoys his new place and can find a job after the UPS one ends!
