Inequalities

The day started out nicely and erupted into something else. I sat in math, texting Brittany, and watching my hair dry as Mr. Hoffert rumbled on. Then, after German and English, and a stupid prep assembly, I went to my mom's house. It was her flex day, and she did her taxes. The damn government took all of my money and plus making me pay in 76 dollars. I was so upset that I cried for a good twenty minutes. Roper realized it and jumped onto my lap, kissing me. Then I said that I was going to move to a different country. Later, I said that I was going to come up with a different way for the dang government to pay for their conquests. They take about a thousand of my money and make me pay in 76 dollars. I worked for that money! Everyone says that I need to get over it, and that I'll always pay taxes.

It wasn't just the taxes that makes me angry, though. It's Nicole, also. Her parents are down in Durango and she came up to Littleton for her last year of high school. First semester she lived with Kathleen. Part of the deal was that she was to pay a hundred of dollars each month to the family. Well, she didn't. Her mom sent her the money and she didn't give it to Kathleen's family. Sadly, I don't know where the money went. She goes out with Jackie and Sarah, and yet. . . she makes us pay for her meals, coffees, etc. She has never said thank you, even though we are being generous, and using our own money we have worked for.

She came up to me last week and asked if she could move in with me. She thought that it is lonely living here alone. Plus, Kathleen's family needed a break. They found drugs in their youngest daughter's bed. However, I love my independence. Plus, she has one of those personalities that you can only be around for about eight hours until you want to kill her. She was about an inch from moving in. I discussed it with mama and papa, and they said it was my decision. I kept on thinking about how she never helped me pay for anything. She comes over and eats all of my food. So, I told her no.

Then, today, I was sitting in English, and Jackie comes in, frustrated. She told me that Ashley invited Nicole to live at her house. Her parents will buy Nicole a bed, towels, and all that she needs, and Nicole will never pay them back! Okay, Ashley's parents are wonderful people, and I love them to death. However, Nicole will never learn how to stand on her own two feet! She mooches off of people and says that she is going to do something, but never does. She uses people's electricity, water, food, and gas and never pays them back. She wants to become a nurse. Okay, but she has horrible grades and no motivation- because she has never been put on her own two feet. Mom's boyfriend, Mike, is exactly like her.

It frustrates me that I pay in taxes and Nicole and Mike gets in easy.

taxes, friends, work
