Yesterday I had a quick evening trip to Canberra for work. For a change, I got to fly Qantas! And although they haven't yet credited me with my points from the trip, I observe that I now have enough frequent flyer points for a one-way trip to London.
*whistles*
And I earned so much of it on someone else's dollar :)
Of course, the one-way fare is so expensive that there's only about $500 difference between booking a return fare, and booking one on points and the other one-way. But that's $500 I could spend on touristing. If there's one thing I regret about last year's trip (apart from getting sick), it's that we didn't spend nearly enough time in London, just walking around and taking in the fact that we were there. Although I do remember
unnamedfeeling saying "Guys, we're in LONDON!" two or three times as we walked around Trafalgar Square :)
