(no subject)
Just a quick update to say that my psychiatric consultation yesterday went very well. He seemed to have no qualms about giving me a second referral for surgery. Now I just need to wait for Dr Curtis to send me his referral letter so I can forward it to the surgeon to get my date for surgery confirmed.
I don't think I can express in words how scared I was about screwing this up, and how relieved I am that it went well. Today I am rather tired and drained from the stress and needing a couple of days to relax and let it sink in. I'm pretty overwhelmed. I took quite a lot of diazepam to hold myself together leading up to the appointment, so I have some withdrawal to deal with too.
But anyway, all the hurdles are behind me, its actually gonna happen. \o/ So happy I could cry...
I'll post what happened in a bit more detail in a day or two.
Oh, and many of you haven't seen what I look like these days so piccies: here and here. (and yeah, I haven't had a hair cut since November and it really needs doing)
