MikomiCon Trip
The day before the con, we spent around 3 hours to put together my Samathan from Danny Phantom costume the night before. We went from, a bit before 12 or so to around 2 am-ish. My dad never really said we were gonna go in advance, an annoying thing my mom did was to dissconnect the internet before I could get instructions to the con. So, we had to figure it out on the way. I actually figured out how to get there. My dad just looked over what I had figured out and got more details.
My dad and I woke up at around 8 am, left at around 10.
We went to Harbor Freight Tools on the way in Cammarillo. I got several werid looks from the people there. I was kidna out of place with my short skirt and nice school girl kidna clothing. Plus I was like the only teenager.
We ate lunch at Subway and planned/figured out the remaining portion of the trip.
Anyways, we got the con kinda late, I saw everyone I was planning on metting there except one person and saw a few unexpected people. They acidently ave me a full pass tag instead of a day pass, which didn't matter cause I couldn't go to day. I had a bit of a head ache while we were there and so did my dad, probably related to the less clean air. I had fun. I didn't do a whole lot, but I saw the campus and my dad didn't liek it and it didn't particularlly excite me so I'm gonna try looking else where soon. I showed off my art and got advice to take a life drawing class and to not go to the art institute. I found a vial of fairy dust, which I've wanted to get for awhile now. hehe. I was given a purple necklace too. ^^ I saw all 9 masquerade entrees, which was short but kidna entertaining. There wasn't a lot of people there. I saw one full furrie, looked like a furcadia thing to me.
I got photographed by a friend of mine and one of the people who was helping with registeration (and my dad took photos) when I was in the Pretty Face outfit I put together that I came to the con in. Once I switched to the Sam costume, I got photographed by a random person, my dad again, my same friend from before, and some other person. Someone in the bathroom of a restruant I was at later complimented me on it too..o.O
Anyways, we left the con at around 7:30 pm or so and drove for about 30-40 min or some farther to get to a spot near Luis's house to meet him and Ryan for dinner. We ate at IHop in the city where Luis lives or next to it. We stayed inside from whenever we got there to 11:30pm and then went outside. I shared a bunch of my food with Ryan and Luis, my dad paid for the food, and there was a bunch of funny stuff discussed at the table. I showed Ryan and Luis my stack of drawing and got Luis to laugh pretty hard at some of it. I told Luis I owe him a drawing. >> Once we went outside, my dad talked with Luis and I clung to Ryan and hugged him and didn't let go...for over an hour... And I kissed him a few times too...Which means, well. Techincally my first kiss. I've been kissed, however this is the first kiss I've given and recieved.. A big deal to me and Ryan, anyone else? Probably not so much.. but I really enjoyed it.
We got home around 2:30 am.
